I know that monero has fuctioning pools now, is it possible for someone to port the code over to boolberry considering theyre both cryptonote coins?
Need to extend protocol to have pool for boolberry, if someone going to make pool i'll help with that.

just wanted to point out something i have an old i7 bloomfield its hash rate is twice as high as my brothers who has an i7 sandybridge. can someone comment as to why this maybe the case.
also: am able to open upto 16 threads on a quadcore i7 bloomfield. is this correct.
also I have been mining since launch and have not found a block.
thanks.
How much are you getting on each architecture per thread? i do not know per thread but on sandybridge i get 190k on bloomfield i get 230k with 100 percent cpu usage on the bloofield if i mine 8 threads i get 230k if i mine on 16 threads i get 230. no difference between 8 threads or sixteen threads on teh quadcore bloomfield what sandybridge and at what clocks? i7 cpu 960 @ 3.2 ghz 3.2 Ghz vs i7 950@3.07ghz 307 ghz

Need to extend protocol to have pool for boolberry, if someone going to make pool i'll help with that. While I like the decentralised model of solo mining, pools are what gets people to join the mining process. I think that making a pool is very important, as well as finding/making a good miner. until then enjoy solo mining while it lasts....

Also what about opening twice as many threads as there are cores. Thanks

If you have Hyperthreading this is the way to go. If not their is no difference

If you have Hyperthreading this is the way to go. If not their is no difference well, i do have hyper treading. i was specifically talking about being able to open 16 threads on a quadcore whereas i should be able to just only be able to open 8 threads. 2 threads for core.

REAL anonymity? Dark coin is strugling to implement something that is not close to this.
Can You explain this lie? Simple and short explanation: ALL cryptonote based coins are FAR more anonymous then Darkcoin. Ring Signatures + Stealth Addresses + Coindenomination all that totally decentralized without "masternodes". You should read the whitepaper on cryptonote.org to make your own conclusions

BoolBerry seems to compile fine with libboost 1.54 But does it work ? I'm asking since other cryptonight don't seem to like 1.54.

I've cut off simpleminer since we have pretty different approach with PoW hash(blockchain-based pow), i'll support those who start developing pools with protocol implementation for thin miner.

Need to extend protocol to have pool for boolberry, if someone going to make pool i'll help with that. Well I had a discussion with my friend about making a pool for Boolberry and it seems that there is a big problem with validating the hash. It would take about 3 sec to confirm so hosting a pool for 10 people would cost as much resources as mining directly. So what to do now ?

I found nothing in 30 hours of mining. This coin needs some pools soon, solomine is insanely hard.

Yes you can, if you prove that you own this address (sign missage with address private key). Updating implemented in core, and in tests. But have not implemented in command line interface. I think we'll done this in UI. Alias case sensitive.
