Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Does this mean BBR is aiming to be the first CN coin with a GUI (HTML-based) wallet and does this mean you'll be able to more quickly innovate and more quickly add new features into the wallet going forward. Any timeline?

Hello friends.

I want to share some intermediate results of work on GUI, just to let everyone know in what direction we are moving.

A lot of work on integrating currency core and daemon stuff into qt is done. Now we can go much quicker.
Daemon now is able to show the state information in GUI, so it's the first part of work, obviously not really usable without wallet functions, but was very important from technical point of view.
Want to notice one more time: wallet functions is not enabled yet, i'm publishing this just to show concept.

I've uploaded binary for windows and put link to our downloads page: http://boolberry.com/downloads.html (notice: this is not windows-only GUI, it's desgining as completely cross-platform qt-based GUI).

Static build is not setup yet, so there is just a bunch of dll's, that should be enough to run binary.

Few words about conception: for UI rendering i use WebKit(web browser engine, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebKit), that is provided by qt as qtWebKit library. You could see folder "html" in qt-daemon archive, so UI is represented as a full-featured html page, that is actually interacts with C++ code by using qt "signals" and "slots". This approach will help us to improve interface with nice appearance and fast implementation.
You may do some experiments with GUI by changing html, and if you have any ideas how to improve it - you could share your html versions with screenshots - it could be easily included into Boolberry, since currend design is just a draft.

Little trick, if you pass this parametr to GUI, you'll get both and GUI and console:
Code:
qt-daemon.exe --alloc-win-clonsole

For those who is lazy to download binary i've attached screenshots:

What's the current total supply of BBR versus XMR/MRO coins? Is BBR rarer - if so, by how much?

Rate of generation is about half.  XMR has a 60 second block time and BBR has a 120 second block time.

http://monerochain.info/stats - Monero has about 1.3M coins
Boolberry is at *roughly* 300,000 coins.

What's news? why it pump more than 100%

development of GUI (HTML-based) wallet and market apparently catching up to the fact that BBR is a lot rarer at this point than Monero.

this project also seems as well as monero to be rock solid - never understood the ultra cheap price.

I think the beauty of the ring signature implementations is that they can be mined for cheap marginal costs - some miners have different objectives than holding, so the coins are cheap.

A block explorer would be a good idea at this point. BBR might have some short-term uptrends and downtrends, but in the long term it has a huge potential Smiley

The polo trollbox says they fixed the bug.  My deposit from last night showed up.

Also, I've submitted another pull request to add hash rate reporting to simpleminer.  People mining on pools should use this in part to find a pool that responds rapidly and lets them have a high hash rate -- performance is still very pool-specific, and part of that depends on the latency between you and the pool.  Pool owners might try using this as a way to tweak their settings, too.
edit:  now merged - give it a try.

The changes that cubydu made seem very helpful, btw.  I'm able to get over 260kh/s on that pool (vs a bit over 300 solo) on an i7-4770.  I also didn't see the same kind of disconnect/reconnect problems that were happening yesterday.  I'd encourage other pool owners to look at those changes and apply something similar.
