Hi Dev's and Everyone,
Just like to say that diamond is looking good after much work by the Dev's.
Once the coin is established and working the way it is intended then things need to be addressed with respect to its usability. It has to be easily transferable for goods and services for it to be any kind of serious coin. Or at least have the software to make it instantly transferable at the point of sale for the most accepted coin at the time, (bitcoin at this point in time) to be able to access the greatest market share.
Without it being able to be widely usable for its intended purpose then its just numbers floating from place to place.
Kind Regards.

Thanks digi123 for your support. The coin is indeed working as intended. We had no single issue with it since the hardfork, grouping and splitting coins as well as other features are working as they should. Diamond is a part of Coin Payments which makes it acceptable by shops really easily, but we agree that quality of the shops is not that great. CoinPayments and we need to do more in that respect. But ... we have several things going at the moment (as always) that would address your suggestions; regardless of that, we do no believe that Diamond is destined to be used for micro payments. We believe, it can become a practical way of storing and multiplying wealth. We might go quiet at times, but it doesn't mean we are having a break, we work each day on bringing the above to reality.

let say it short to be successful there must be a demand we working on that every hidden plan we have and working on is aimed to create demand for diamond the soon to be released dmd payout multipool is just a tiny step in this direction but still the mechanic is the same since blackcoin had this idea as first by mining other coins and buy DMD with the earnings u create a buy pressure (=demand) the other things we have in work are to early to talk about them but i just say "unique" ........ as someone said every top coin adds some unique feature or mechanic to crypto time for us to present our uniqueness but i have to ask for patience such things need a bit time it will be a few months silent until we can release it

PoS-related problem: I have two wallets, one on Windows one on a Mac. Windows PoS works like a charm, but the minted coins on the Mac are (almost all) "Generated but not accepted".
1. Any guess why? All settings are the same in the two machines. Same location & similar connection speed too. 2. Do I lose anything by these rejected transactions or will the correct reward be at some point rewarded in the end?
Thanks!

Cpu usage has gone up a bit further (maybe the PoS difficulty has risen) and now it takes the whole cpu time; stakepower is going up so I think my NAS is done. That's a pity because it was a good node. Danbi do you think there is room for improvement on PoS minting performance? Is there something I can do or try? I'm a good C programmer and, if you can point me to the relevant code, I can try to make some modifications.
CPU usage is not related to PoS difficulty. If it is related to PoS, it is related to the number of eligible unspent amounts you have in the wallet - PoS would try to stake each and every one of these. I believe there is room for significant improvement in the wallet/transaction etc handling. I am still investigating where to start from, but here is the problem: all searches are linear, a linked list is traversed to find eligible coins etc. The code would greatly benefit from more internal indexes. We have enabled combining in the PoS code, which will (with time) reduce the number of amounts and thus improve CPU usage. Another idea I plan to implement is setting to declare the change address. At present, any time there is a change (almost always when sending coins) the wallet would create new address/keys and send the change there -- this makes the wallet huge and very slow to operate. Most users don't need the 'anonymity' provided by this mechanism. What you could try is looking in the BitcoinMiner function and increasing the sleep timers for PoS -- or just adding some. That will lower the CPU usage at the cost of trying to stake less frequently.

Another alternative is, to keep it open so that your larger/older amounts stake, then lock it for a while. Those amounts will be eligible after 7 days to stake again. So locking it for a week is ok. This time, they staked on their own. Next time, because they are 'big' and 'stake early' each will be split in two pieces. So next time they will take a bit longer to stake. When they get smaller than the combine threshold (100 DMD) and do not stake for 30 days, at the next stake chance these smaller amounts will be grouped into a 100 DMD (or around that number) piece and stake together. The split/combine cycles will repeat again. If you don't want to be subject to the amount splitting, then lock it for at least a month.
hi, is the "group small amounts into a 100 DMD" for staking in effect already in 2.0.3? what if my DMDs have not reached a combined 100 yet? im a small miner and mine at a NOMP pool and now have hundreds of transactions in payout of ~0.1 how does the grouping affect the individual transactions coin-age? thank you

Just out of curiousity I wonder who found block 500.000? Anyone? It wasn't me.... This block is interesting. It may have been mined at a pool. With 8.4% fee. Or, solo mined by someone who uses an miner contributing 8.4% of their hash rate to someone else (a "dev"?). Wonder if that miner is aware..
