When i open mymonero.com it says:

"Your account is catching up, your details may be out-of-date until it is finished (47 blocks behind)
This is not an error, and you do not have to do anything except wait until it is complete."

What's going on?
Do i have to do anything?

Is it actually true that XMR is more likely to be cracked than ZCASH in terms of anonymity? Could that problem ever be fixed if it's true?

BTC will be cracked before either so don't worry on that score. And if it comes close to any CC then it's just a fork away to a tougher Algo. So don't listen to the FUD. BTC will fall first as it's the easiest to crack.

No, just be patient and it'll eventually catch up.

I used http://xmr.llcoins.net/checktx.html to check if a tx has worked well.

I get the following:

This address doesn't own output 0 with pubkey xxxxxxxxxx
This address owns output        1 with pubkey  yyyyyyyyyy


What exactly output 0 and 1 mean and what their pubkey are used for? Sorry if it's a basic question I am trying to learn.

A typical RingCT transaction has 2 inputs and 2 outputs, where one output is sent to the recipient and one output is coming back as change to your wallet.

The pub keys are simply the (one-time) stealth addresses the outputs are sent to.

Anyone know wtf is up with the bitthumb site? I thought they said withdrawals and  trades would be open now but the page says this:

Date of transaction Listing day of Monero ~ August 30, 2017 (Sun) Midnight
Benefit Additional Monero equivalent to 1% of your deposited money will be given to you

But... 8/30 is not sunday...

BTW, I have an account there and it sucks for the most part. Those south koreans have no idea about like other than 8 coins.

Let's see if the price level will hold. I don't see why XMR can't be valued so high. In the end it's a good coin with lots of pros IMHO.

With all due respect Dash is not a one trick pony, the privacy is only part of DASH, while Monero is primarily focused on privacy, and XMR those so at the cost of transparancy of the blockchain, a non-transparant blockchain, destroys the trust-less nature of a blockchain, in case of monero it means that it possible that coins can be printed out of thin air and this is not some FUD, it proven that such a bug in fact has been found, and there is no knowing there are more.

This seems to be the talking points for the anti-monero hoard currently.

As to one trick ponies... I'd rather do one thing well than build a rube goldberg contraption.
