BC should add counterparty as well.

I was also thinking counterparty could be a good fit for blackcoin. Probably not now, but when blackcoin is further along.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Maybe and update on V2 of the pool would get some excitement happening?

Hi, the pool will soon be ready, but no more "half" releases this time. It's done when it's done. As I heard: eta ~ 72 hours or less.

And yes. They will be pushing PR/ good news.. Their product will be badass.
Good move no half done stuff.
lets look forward to positive and a good job done.

im not familiar with this , what is it exactly?

It's basically a metacoin that runs on top of bitcoin. Bitcoins were burned to create counterparty tokens. It adds 2nd generation functionality that allows a decentralized exchange. (https://www.counterparty.co/)

In theory it could be moved from bitcoin onto blackcoin, that would allow counterparty to take advantage of the extra speed (at least I think so).

Even simpler words then that please. I read about Counterparty but never figured out what the point is. Why do I need it if I have BTC?

Hmm, I have an idea to improve security  Cool

First a few questions, in order to access the wallet.dat file does it need to be backed up or can it be found on the computer? Also if you backup the wallet, is it encrypted ?

We have a great feature which allows us to encrypt the wallet, but if there is a key logger your password is compromised.

Is it possible to have a virtual keyboard pop up, that re-arranges the position of the keys every time that it's opened.
Then to enter the password you need to click the corresponding letters/numbers rather then typing them out.

What do you think ?

@Blackcoin

The recent community rift between IconicExpert and the Foundation Team has left a bad taste in my mouth.  I dare say mistakes were made on both sides and a lot of the dirty laundry should have stayed in the hamper.  That said BC/BLK is a community coin.  To me the coin is not whole as the community is not whole.  I will not support BC/BLK until the community is reunited.

There are great ideas from the Foundation, Dev, and IconicExpert.  Working together I believed that overtaking BTC was possible.  While great things are still possible BC will not be all that it can be without everyone.

Somewhere out there IE is putting cards in envelopes and sending out a customized launch by hand while some other generic card is pushed.  Blah.

I am watching the threads hoping that this all works out.  If it can BC will be unstoppable.  This spat has only helped other coins! think about that.

If bitcoin aims to do away with dollars, counterparty (and it's rivals mastercoin and colored coins) aims to replace Wall Street. No need for brokers and traders, just use the blockchain to buy and sell.

So with counterparty you can have an IPO for stocks, and have them traded on decentralized exchanges.

Right now you can buy gold and silver among other things on the counterparty exchange.

(Nxt is also aiming for a decentralized exchange, I believe. The OverStock CEO indicated he was interested in having an IPO on an exchange like that.)

You can use a separate program to do this. For example Neo's SafeKeys: http://www.aplin.com.au/
