Oh Awesome I just checked My PM from bitcointalk and apparently the fact I stated I was leaving the other thread and it was full of trolls. LOL Was deleted and I was asked not to post there anymore. Which I would not have even known as i don't read that thread or post there now. This is so funny as I left and he came over here .... Duh Also Everyone with any self respect left his thread. Boy oh Boy. I guess it is the nice guy in me to expect the best even from the worst people. So as it stands I support this thread and I support Black coin. I will state that the lil scared trolls that have come here from the other thread are very scared bye the fact there are still strong hands working together.

Are the members of the foundation that are going to Bitcoin2014 going there in an official Blackcoin capacity? Just curious how involved you guys are. Networking mission, or will there be more setup there?

Hi, me, Soepkip and Vizique will be at the Bitcoin2014 conference in Amsterdam. I'm not sure if we will be in "official" capacity, but we will be representing BlackCoin to a good extent. It's mostly a networking mission.. and for me a lot of lurking.. and planting seeds..

The PR team has given us a homework assignment. http://www.reddit.com/r/blackcoin/comments/25jn99/pr_homework_assignment/Coming back from the PR campaign we were asked for two metrics that we don't quite have.
RJSchex et al. have done great work putting together some information about energy usage, but the PR firm wants the facts in USD. Can someone do that?
Can someone put together some metrics, again in USD, about how much it costs to maintain the price of doge and BTC (inflationary mining) versus maintaining the price of BlackCoin (1% inflationary minting)? Thanks.
Also I think I should let the community know that a good deal of the PR firm is actively reading these threads. It's not a bad idea to always act like they are reading it, that way the sub reddit in general garners a very professional and friendly feel to it.
And here's the analysis we already had, for reference: http://www.reddit.com/r/blackcoin/comments/25a4fq/if_you_are_good_at_science_or_if_you_are_an/If you're good with maths and feel like putting some numbers together, getting on over there to help would be awesome! McKie offered a small prize for this from his own pocket. 50BC offered from myself to whoever submits a good set of metrics

Just some thoughts and I would like peoples opinions on them: Maybe BC shouldn't start a public smear campaign against BTC and its energy wastefulness until BC can stand completely on its own (until it is not heavily dependent on BTC like every alt is). At this point, anything that might hurt public perception of BTC would likely hurt all of crypto including BC. Also, and I think others have pointed this out before, if you are going to try and sell BC as energy efficient you better be prepared for people being critical of the hypocrisy that is the multipool. And if you consider the fact that BC was the altcoin which started the altcoin multipool fad... what is the real effect of BC on energy consumption? (I think one good counterargument for the "wastefulness" of the multipool is that the majority of BC miners would just be mining something else if it weren't for BC and in that sense it is not additional energy waste just redirected energy waste)

Valid points Storm. I think it will be in our best interests to ensure that any 'green' talk is kept as a positive for BC and not, as you put it, a smear campaign against BTC. As for the multipool.. as long as their are PoW coins there will always be miners. The larger are multipool the faster energy efficient BC takes over. The multipool can very easily be seen as a tool that allows us to bring the crypto community towards energy efficiency even faster.

This is coming from a very professional PR firm so I doubt it will have a negative tone to it. I think the miner issue is pretty simple: I doubt there is one single card that would not be mining somewhere else if BlackCoin multipools did not exist. Miners gonna mine. 24/7.
