As of the current price i guess it`s BUYING TIME? Cheesy

I think you're right. Looks like dumping is over. And some interesting announcement on the multipool ahead. Let's buy!

We still have a lot of large coin holders like the mining farms that hold a large number of coins. Since our market is so small, it doesn't take much to drastically move the price up or down. Fortunately, the large sellers are selling slowly (1 or 2 BTC at a time). But with our market, that still causes wide swings. We will continue to see these dumps until all their coins are sold. They seem to be dumping and then waiting for the price to go back up a bit before selling again.

In the long run, this can only help us because it provides cheap buying opportunities. It can, however, be scarey in the short term. I certainly don't like seeing my investment's value quartered in 10 minutes time. I do take comfort though in the knowledge that the market will not only recover, but will continue to rise eventually.

We can expect to see more wild swings in the near future. Just don't panic and sell when the price is low. Use these price dips to buy and if you need to sell, sell when the price goes up.

Edit: Large sellers only start most huge downswings. Panic and FUD make it twice as bad as it should be.

I agree, good points sdmathis.  We are losing the dumpers right now, makes the next rally go that much higher.

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

I had that problem also.

I got it fixed with changeing my DNS server. For me and the person assisting me it looks like my internet provider is haveing some issues.

i am synced now, well only with 3 active connections, but i am synced =)

That's really strange. I get this message:

I'm not having any trouble getting to any other website, including this one.

More importantly, what the heck is happening to the coin price?

After fixing my wallet... it won't sync again... what's the next step?  Windows wallet.  Downloaded 3 or so days ago.

Version 1.1 of the wallet was released this morning.

You can find it on the website vericoin.info and follow the instructions here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=602041.msg6811054#msg6811054

Version 1.1 should solve your problem.

That's a reasonable question. The "S" word in your first post is uncalled for though.

When we were on POW, our coin was VERY popular with Chinese mining farms and multipools. That was the cause of all our forking problems and that is also the cause of our instability at the moment. Those large farmers farm mined with no intention of holding. They farm and dump. That's their business model. Most of the large farmers are still selling off their coins. Once their coins are in the hands of the public, prices should stabilize. It may take a few days though. Until then, we can expects prices to rise and then sharply fall over and over again.

Is there any way - any data available via the block explorer perhaps - to figure out more precisely exactly when that cloud might fade away?

The risk of massive miner dumps is precisely why many of us are avoiding pure POW coins and are interested in POS coins that offer a refuge from that bagholding risk.
