According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I can't believe the prices right now. I wish I had some more btc. I would snatch all the sync up I can. Soon as people realize that there wallets is working, then an anonymizer gets added. Off to the moon we go. I see this coin easily hitting 10BTC a piece. Suckers are going to be whining for selling so cheap.

We are only like 10btc away from trading at 1btc a sync. Buy now while you can. You can thank me later.

So just a heads up to everyone who has trouble with coins staking...I actually am having the same trouble, but I've been doing some poking around and I did a little test.

Almost all my coins up until literally today came from before block 8210...so what I did was transfer my coins back out to Mintpal...and 50 confirms later (took awhile heh)  I sent them right back.

I'm just curious to see if it has something to do with coins generated before block 8210 not wanting to stake...so now my coins took a ride back on a block > 8210, so I'll keep you guys updated on if they stake in the next couple of days.

...Just an experiment, figured why the heck not, since they weren't staking anyway. =)

wandering around the room ... youre not mature nothing to be staked get naked lay a Steak on your head and Dance like a mad man - does it help ? NO

i really get mad sOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON Shocked

-------

can it be that there is a difficulty in staking and it takes among the coins you have a Little time in beginning staking ?

but this difficulty would be 0.00000095 and it makes no sense that i got no stakes till now ?

dev HAVE TO say anything about that

It is a good little thing this coin.

Takes some of the pressure off long term BTC storage which seems more volatile going forward.

I wish I had like 10 BTCs.  Maybe im wrong in this, but I can buy 40 sync right now with 10btc. It would then drive the price to 1 btc a piece and then stake and make 3&1/2 btc a month just by selling my stake. The multipool would hold the price and people see it start rising would only increase the buy pressure...making my sync worth even more than 1 sync. Am i missing something here?

Are there two different links posted on the first page, one with the windows logo and one in the text post under it? Is the correct file the one with "flavoured" in the title? I am still not having luck syncing.

I had some small amounts that werent staking in my wallet and i grouped them together and sent them to another wallet using the coin control features and then sent them back, i also added a transaction fee both ways. within 24hrs they staked.  In the coin control features you can look at the confirms of each group of coins and the priority that is set to them, when they came back to the original wallet as a larger group they had a higher priority.  Now i have two groups of coins that stake at different times. Instead of one group staking and the others just sitting there.

It doesnt matter i have one of each and they are both syncing. The flavoured is just prettier, but I prefer the regular one.  One of the wallets is on a vista machine and the other is on 8.1 and i didnt have problems with either.  just follow the op and it should work. i didn't use the bootstrap i just opened and closed a couple times and i didn't ad the .conf until after i was synced. So I dont know if that even helps. I did notice that my win 8.1 wallet has more connections and both wallets are set up exactly the same.
