btw, i have 0.23 sync.

Coins less than 0.3 syncs won't get stake at all
coins that are 0.3 Sync will start staking after 3 days.
1 Sync coins will start staking after 1 day and bigger ones a bit sooner, up to 6 hours

Someone posted a pic pages ago of a stake and he only had 0.17 in wallet

so, the 0.3 thing is just yet more 'pull-it-outta-my-ass' info from the dev team?

If .3 is the minimum, could someone explain my wallet?

thanks for doing that, the fact the wallet is OOS, looks like it actually hit an orphan block.

0.85 in wallet. Staked this morning.  Grin

pics or it didn't happen  Cheesy

I dont know why, but it says it's from "2nd wallet" which is a 2nd wallet i set up just to send it all at once and back, to make a single large sum to stake.

how do i insert a pic?

You don't have to use different wallet-qt's to move the coins around. You can also move coins between internal wallets as shown below. It will then show the amount only from transaction fee's

I think it would go a long way if the devs would explain why there is a minimum balance required to stake

how do i insert a pic?

yeah, i decided to go the other way, i sent all my balance out to different addresses and sent them back in 1SYNC increments; this way, my stake is pretty much constant ( I like to see that green arrow )

 Cheesy

you can send to your address directly

If I were you I would buy some of this cheap sync to bump you over the .3 requirement. Some stellar deals lately.

I think it would go a long way if the devs would explain why there is a minimum balance required to stake

because it's fun to say;

"come mine my new coin"

then, when you mine it and don't have enough to stake, say

"haha suckers"

 Huh

or... and this is more likely;

dev got scared seeing the price slump and made a call to try and get folk to buy up - meh, didn't work huh?

All those people that bought cheap sync will probably want to dump it as soon as it hits 0.3, making a nice short term profit

Whatever hopes we might have had for a high sync price belong to the past now. Those early problems have stunted the coin

People will probably be speculating around the low prices and the coin might become as irrelevant as 365 or 42.

Unless the dev has something up his sleeve of course, though I can't imagine what that might be, besides a fixed wallet which is required but by no means enough

Supposed to have some good news, but I think they said they are waiting till next week.

Sooner would probably be better tho.

I don't think it was the actual problems which affected it, but the delay in getting things fixed.
got to remember PoS is pretty much a new innovation and with all new gimmicks, people want to see them working immediately.

the major stumbling block was the fact, MsCollec is not the actual dev, and relied on the abilities of others, whom he/she paid to make the coin - I believe MsCollec held his/her end of the deal with his/her developers, but the developers were simply; lax - out of reach, or just clueless.

i'd ask for a refund - a lot of the problems have indeed been caused by a dev team lacking in competence, with a flaky business plan set out by MsCollec.

I've read and re-read the Synclub rewards program and still, it makes no sense whatsover, there is no detail, no end goal and no plan by which to execute it.
Perhaps MsCollec simply failed to draw up a proper business plan for Sync, and thought it could just be winged-along as they seen it develop.

i dunno  Huh

waiting 'til next week? for what? for the price to half, and half again?
considering what this coin 'could have been' - if I were anywhere near a competent coder, i'd be working on this 24/7 and giving it 100% with updates to the community every hour and ensuring people held their trust in it.

no response from the dev team whatsoever, no market assistance (investment to keep prices afloat) and no real plan of action as to how this coin is going to be worth anything in 6 months... i don't see how 'next week' is going to be any different from this week.

ya i'm with you on that.

I have not been on here for about 30 hrs and don't wanna read back thru the thread. After checking the price of SYNC this AM, i don't want to waste much time on this.

good news:
My Wallet did stake after i upped my balance to .30 coins.

not so good news:  problem is that my wallet has not been able to update for over 24 hrs. I am still stuck on block 8555.

Questions:
1. Am i the only one having that issue?

2. Has there been a new wallet in the lats 30 hrs and i need to update to it?

no new wallet, no.
did you hit an orphan block? wallets seem to be sticking when they hit an orphan, full resync is required in this case - mine did this morning.
