Ok so basically each user will have to validated by an Admin and the newbies will have their own section where they can post until they reach 5 posts. Sounds good?
Hey Teka... when will this happen?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

It'll be a nightmare validating each and every user manually. If you really believe it is necessary, you'll be much better off limiting Newbie accounts to a certain section for 10 posts or so. In all honesty though, the more you try to fight criticism the harder it becomes. It will be easier on everyone if there are no restrictions from the get go.

FUD and trolls will clear as confidence grows and the product becomes more stable. I agree with this sentiment, just ride it out.

We are ok with criticism just not blatant lies or people who clearly don't bother researching anything. This thread will be mod-free when the new forum rolls out which should fairly soon. We will also depend on users to feedback on users that cause trouble. -5 karma and you are suspended for two hours and can't post till your posts are checked.

In all honesty though, the more you try to fight criticism the harder it becomes. It will be easier on everyone if there are no restrictions from the get go.
+1 Every coin has its spammers, fudders and haters. But, most people don't follow EVERY page written. Truth, transparency, professionalism and progress is the key to survival. XC had weathered every attack by being diplomatic and friendly to all. This is why many are here I believe. If you change these dynamics to a over controlled system, personally as a major supporter of XC. I am feeling a bit lack lustre about this direction atm.

Whats the problem with having multiple forums? This one will be changed to unmoderated once the new forum goes live. I personally would find it refreshing to be able to go to a forum where I don't have to filter through hundreds of troll comments just to get a clear understanding of what a coin is about and its development.

I think the XC dedicated forum is worthwhile but i do get an over controlling sense. I propose less controls and empower moderators who can take care of the hooligans. The karma system was also a good idea so long as it's not abused to quiet people with legitimate concerns. Edit: Also, once XC is the clear leader there will be less FUD

Still waiting for the all clear from ATC to go ahead and make the videos
For the most part, I want to do this for newbies, and most of them will be running on Windows clients anyhow.
Start pulling out some putty to a Linux box and it will scare them away.

Speaking as a newbie with over 1k XC I can say this would be greatly appreciated. I've been hesitant to move my coins off exchange for fear of screwing up. And yes I'm on Windows
