I'm starting to think that a way to get a beat on other coins would be to make the code open source. Does cloning really have a negative impact on the coin being cloned? Look at Litecoin for example. There's nothing innovative about it and it's cloned all the time, yet it's still the number 2 coin.
Cloning won't work right now anyway because it's constantly being updated and improved.
Maybe in time, after there was time to build a solid base, name & related infrastructure. I would already be really happy with a serious peer review. If someone with the reputation of Gmaxwell says it is good, who needs open source? But the code is owned by ATC, only he can decide. A peer review is always suspect no matter what the reputation of the reviewer is. In the crypto world every one has an agenda. Kickbacks and payoffs are part of any industry, and crypto is probably much worse. Yes, it is ATCs decision, but the market always has the final say. Always! The financial markets are a living, breathing organism that can destroy the hopes and dreams of people and huge organizations if it feels betrayed.

Also large sells keep appearing, someone does not want this to rise.....
Ya, the reversal has already started IMO the charts would disagree with you unfortunately. there is no such thing as chart in altcoins, pink or otc. heck even bitcoin itself don't need any chart. if the wind bring you fresh flower scent then it is a good day or if the wind bring those smelly farts then you screw. you need to know how to read the wind my friend, not chart. Made me laugh at my computer screen.. . But MOST importantly, its probably very close to the truth.

Private code is not his concern. I hope adc would pay some bitcoins for him to review and perhaps pinpoint any problem to make XC the first true anon/privacy transaction coin. chance Gmaxwell not bother to take any bitcoin from adc, perhaps some credit with this coin? I don't think Maxwell want to work with Duffield seen Duffield does his best to avoid giving any credit to Maxwell about CoinJoin. It would be crazy unbelievable if Maxwell could help with XC.

I am concerned with current prices, but from the get go, I looked at XC as a Long Term investment. I want the price to double everyday, but the reality of the situation is the Dev is far from finished with this technology. To date he has been on point and on time with everything that he has stated would happen.
If I was a sorry individual I would suggest everyone dump, so I can buy as many coins as I can as cheaply as possible. In my opinion the pricing being what it is: This is a great time to be buying in or buying more. Being a man of very modest money ie. "Poor", Im selling all kinds of alts to try and scrounge up a few more XC.
I in full faith can say XC will be a top 3 coin in 6 months to a year.
When Wall street hits the Coin world prices are going to be mind blowing!

http://www.wired.com/2014/06/feds-seize-stingray-documents/what is stingray? Stingray is basically a mini-cell phone tower/network/access point in a box... or it can be more advanced with a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) (for example, at a stadium, sporting event, etc) It does a man in the middle attack, picking up your text (as clear as day btw)... your data and your calls (metadata on this is captured real-time, who you called, how long you talked, etc) XC will play a key part in protecting against this intrusion with its 2 way encrypted protocol

XC TRADING ON BTER!June 6, 2014 JP Buntinx It looks like the big exchanges are looking to add “smaller” coins lately. While this is a very interesting development, it also poses the question “why now?”. Regardless of that, it’s good to see XC on BTER! A lot of XC community members had contacted bigger exchanges, including BTER, and asked if they could add XC to their trading pairs. Apparently, this worked out quite well which is refreshing to say the least. Most of us have realised that there is more money flowing into Crypto coming from Asia, or more specifically, China. While the US is still being considered to be the “Crypto Hub”, they are steadily losing ground. What also piqued my interest, is the fact that BTER gives a 1% deposit bonus. I’m not entirely sure if this is just for XC or other coins as well, but it’s still a very nice gesture to have more people coming in and depositing some coins. Definitely a big feather in the cap of the XC team and community. It will be interesting to see how much interest this will bring to the coin, not just on BTER, but on other exchanges as well. We will keep you updated on any further developments. XC donations are welcome to : XKjAHTgN3hKTBGNKRsVJiQM2AMGR3R23Et thanks, we make this happen.
so next step is another Chinese exchange platform btc38.com

I you can think of any 'starting point' i will try to educate myself more before continuing this. But you are right with your conclusion, yes at the moment i do put trust in reviews by others if they have the right (in my eyes) trackrecord.

Mobile communication use OFDM technology, they also have some encrypted protocol? seems really great. then nobody can wiretap your cell phone....
