I have three 5870's and would like to mine FTC at TMB. Any one have neoscrypt running decent for AMD 5870? I'm only getting 20kh/s per card, using badman's current mod miner.
Check the FTC forums - they have a cl for old cards. Thanks, I did see that forum and tried that cl, I think neoscrypt_vliw, but it doesn't work with this Multi-Algo version of SGMiner, at least not badman's latest mod version. Is there a version of the Multi-Algo SGMIner it does work with? I think over at the FTC forum they were using some new version of CGMiner? Anyway I was hoping to mine FTC at TMB with the algo switcher. Thanks, It's called, "eliminating the competition". Here in Cryptoland, we call it, "a ninja launch". @all Has anyone had any luck solo mining with any of Wolf0's kernels ?

Here in Cryptoland, we call it, "a ninja launch". @all Has anyone had any luck solo mining with any of Wolf0's kernels ? @Hippie Tech I dunno why you have it out for wolf0, he has single-handedly increased the output of the neoscrypt kernel five-fold for the newer GPU's. When FTC, IPC and GUN switched to neoscrypt, the hashrate on a high end GPU was about 60kh/s per GPU. He bumped that up to ~200k just by cleaning up the kernel. He wasn't involved previously and did this at someone's request, without any compensation. He then released a second update to the code that's now getting 320+ kh/s for the high end GPU's. (he implied that he was paid for that, I cannot confirm or deny) So yes, a LOT of people are having luck with his kernel, me included. And him being a coder for hire, he deserves what he gets as he's not just another kid putting a new front end in a wallet, releasing a coin, and calling himself a dev. @lsss Sorry about your luck using an older card, and multi-algo switcher. The CL for older cards was done by someone else besides wolf0, and works well with the CGminer found in the forum.

477b, latest wolf0 cl, 14.2 driver, i13 w192 g2 clocks1150/1500 for 290x & 290, guncoin wallet on another pc on network, win7x64, AMD8350, w/ 16gb, and I was born on a tuesday.. Anything else? Neoscrypt is not to the plug and play stage yet, wanna mine it, plan on some tinkering time.

Not using a password as far as I know, that would have to be implemented on the pool side and as you mentioned yourself Nicehash is the only one so far to do this. CGwatcher has an option to change pool according to coin-profitability but it hasn't been updated for a long time and only lists the older coins

And Wolf0 has found a bottleneck in the code that's causing the 290/290x not to be able to achieve full speed, so they should eventually be able to go considerably farther than that. The top 2 GPU's are 290x, the bottom are 290's.

haven't found a way to mine with my older cards (two 5870 and one 5830) for neoscrypt efficiently...i think it is only a matter of time till someone tweaks the miner for older cards, currently i'm using it to mine cryptonote with claymore miner and these three cards fetch me 754h/s compared to a single 280x h/s of ~600h/s....i remember when claymore later added support for older cards, the same will happen to neoscrypt miners..

hi, i have a rig with 5 280x's and a ssd running win 8.1/ amd 13.12. I got suggested to use pimp since i want a gui miner capable of switching between many algorithms on a switching pool but i don't have a usb card, so i would have to install it on my ssd. If i install pimp can i keep win8.1?
What do i need pimp for, would be it be better than sgminer pointed to a switching pool on win8.1, if that works?

Have you tried the kernel modded for older cards yet? If not, try this: http://phoenixcoin.org/downloads/neoscrypt_vliw.cl

Ok so you are talking about adding a diff setting in the miner password yeah ? so where do you notice this "higher effective hashrate" recorded ? on a pool webpage or something,,, or is it some more in depth knowledge about mining ect cheers
