From the financial report...

"Through IPO this March we funded 1,875 BTC. We acquired USD895,177 by selling those BTC(Most of the BTC we sold at the price around USD483)."

OUCH.

Yes, ouch!!!
We had to do this, because of lack capital for purchasing chips and other materials.

Makes sense and yes that was a serious Ouch, its hard to predict that exchange rate though but those sort of things can't be helped.

I have 6 R-box miners running on CGminer on a Windows 7 machine.  They seem to run ok but even running them at a clock speed of 290 I am getting only about 200Gh/s from the 6 of them or just about 34Gh/s each They do peak at about 208-210 Gh/s (still under 35Gh/s each)  but only brief peaks. 4 or 5 times a day I have to restart 2 3 or all 6 of the miners as they slow down to high teen to low twenties GH/s

I thought it was power related as I had all 6 running from one 360W PS to start with but I have since bought and hooked up a second 360W PS and put 3 units on each and still the same. I can not get speeds of anywhere near the 35 GH/s each I was expecting with any kind of consistency. I get nearly 35 for brief peaks but it drops off to average a bit under 34 and then drops off to less than 25 after a few hours. I have the 6 units set up spaced out with a 20" box fan blowing across them and they run about 39-40c so I don't think it is heat related either.

My question is, What am I doing wrong or is it just a design flaw that these units can not run for more than a few hours at a time reliably?

Is there an updated firmware or driver I should try? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What version of CGMiner are you running? Since I have been using 4.4.2 mine has worked really well running at 320Mhz I get 33-35Gh solid.

4.3.3  I will try the newer version and see if that helps. Thanks for the suggestion.

Ok I have switched to CGminer 4.4.2 and it does seem to be a lot more stable. I was running at 300Mhz for 12 straight hours and they were rock solid running around 36Gh/s average each. Thanks for the reply.

Now on a different question What is the range of temps that are safe for the R-Box when running at 300Mhz the temps increase a bit and one of them shows 47c I am just wondering how high is too high is 47c I backed them back off to 290Mhz for now until I find out if the temps are good to go.

Rockxie was curious if you could reveal what address you are using or mining type solo or pool
Been seeing a few unknown solo mining addresses in the Bitcoin pools and with 1000 units coming online it could be Solo mining or pooled so was curious which it was.

From

(1) Cash Flow Guarantee

In consideration of the current tough miners selling environment and to guarantee company operation and shareholder dividends, we recently decided to invest around USD 48,230 to renovate the No.2 Mining farm which is 800KW and deploy 1,000 unit miners by the end of July.

Also one additional question is your Mining farm in coordination with Datatank/Asicminer/Bitgarden or are they separate mining facilities that each take advantage of efficient energy costs?

Folks,

Good morning/evening. I need to replace the fans, where I can get them?
I know they are 2 pins.

Should I look for 90 mm fans or 80 mm fans?

Amazon? Aliexpress?

any updates to deal with the constant cgminer restarts? I cant get stats to stay active beyond 10 minutes, and my hashrate for 2 rk-boxes is only 780GH at the miner and less than 700Gh at the pool due to 8%+ reject rate

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

I would love to buy one (or 20) and support AM.  But I have to have dependable equipment.  I can't be babysitting miners to restart.  Certainly sounds like this is a work in progress.
Hope these guys either get this worked out or push out a larger miner with an improved design.  I saw a nice looking one from Friedcat.  Until then my btc goes elsewhere.

absolutely - on the other hand it looks like the btcgarden team has a much better BE200 machine. It runs for over 12hrs stable with error rates around 5-6% (I think this is an issue with the chip similar to with the rockminer)

My pair of rocket boxes has been a headache. Ive had to switch out a replacement control piece due to damage, and multiple times had to mess around with the USB cables to keep all the connections snug.

now its rebooting (or restarting cgminer?) once every 15 minutes or so, and only showing 7 boards (the last is lit red and wired up, but no blue LED action).  Even when working well I only get 750GH or so at the pool. Im not sure if the reboots are a correction atrtempt for the missing board or some other screwup in cgminer.

ASICMiner's first generation chips had also a certain error rate, even though I believe that it was in fact lower. IIRC it was about 1%? I had a couple broken USB Block Erupters which had an error rate of about 10% I guess...

Thanks! 10 per piece seems quite expensive.

I think I saw a few ones in aliexpress, but I am not sure if those will fit.

I had similar issues and figured that the USB hub/connections are causing it. The hub comes with rk-box was so sensitive that if the wires are (especially the mini usb socket) bent a tad more, the box gets disconnect. See if you can try another hub.

My rk-Boxes have been running great, I did have to replace one of the plugin pcb boards a few days ago, but other than that it's been good. I do keep the firmware on the pi's up to date. Mine are batch ones so of course we did a lot when they first came in to make them stable.

I have an original  Rockminer webui r-Box pi image I had got from crazy guy that has been rock solid for months. It's not the one avaliable now. I'll try to drop box it later.

Update: look at crazyguys thread, he has good downloads on his second post.

Running FREQ 300 right now and rejects/HWE combined are less than 5% and pushing 450 Gh/s poolside!
Not to mention a few degrees cooler and quieter!

[/quote: I installed a manual fan control on my RK-Boxes that is working well to dramatically reduce the fan noise and still keep the blades cool. Highly reccomended if the Rocket Boxes are in your house. I just lowered fan speed and monitored during the hotest times of the day to get right setting for quiet cooling. I have not had to adjust fan speed since installed and adjusted.     Here is the link of the ones I'm using:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004LL8KF6?cache=8dd22ea26140667f1737f48c0bd46cbe&pi=SX200_QL40&qid=1404945076&sr=8-1#ref=mp_s_a_1_1

Note: plastic guide on the end of the fan controller wires must be shaved down to fit on the miner. I used a knife, takes about 5 seconds, works well.
