like i said those are the numbers i got from the above links.

anyway crypti is only beginning there's no saying how things will be like.
i do hope crypti make it big, one of the few cryptos i actually got in early.  Smiley

I just wanted to let all of you waiting for the release of the Windows wallet to know... I have been testing the wallet and have already forged a little over 113 Crypti.. So while we still have more testing to do.. It's nice to see 10% ROI in a short period of time on my home PC... We really want this to run smooth and simple for you all... Thank you for all your patients...
....
How many forgers are in NXT does anybody know?

i got the following numbers from http://www.mynxt.info/forging_calculator.php and https://nxtblocks.info/#section/blockexplorer_distribution

Quote
You would make: 0.32 NXT
with 100,000.00 NXT forging for 24 hours
Block forging rate:

blocks you would find       0.09
blocks per hour   0
blocks per 24 hours       0.09
blocks per 30 days   2.58
Current NXT network stats

Total forging power: 977,154,658.00 NXT.
Average fees generated per day: 3119.75

Quote
100,000-1,000,000   563   1.04%   169268685.2340392   16.93%
1,000,000-1,000,000,000   140   0.26%   773512965.6571544   77.35%

so with current forging power of 977,154,658.00 an impressive 97% of all nxt is forging!

77.35%+16.93%=94.28%
140+563=aproximately atleast 703 numbers of account that is forging!!

Hmm and with Crypti it will probably be more considering 1000 xcr is all needed to compete.
I can see that being pretty good compared to NXT.

I like to see RoI on forging when MP adds. But until then I don't see too many fees being collected. Any forgers can share so far?

1000 XCR, 1 minute block time, pending on the network activity and node up-times, I am expecting good results with full time dedicated node.

Updated Cloud Server Guides

At this point Crypti nodes are running stable at 526-632mb of Ram... As we update and tweak our software we strive to deliver a stable node running on less then 512mb of Ram...
For now please use at least a 1gb cloud setup.

We will be compiling a list of cloud services and comparing them.. Price.. Performance.. Usability...

So if you have a service you have had a good experience with or would like to try... Please give us your feedback

In addition to cloud servers, there are dedicated microboards such as the Raspberry Pi ($35) and the ODROID-3 ($59) that could be used as Crypti nodes.  The Raspberry is marginal with its relatively low memory and speed.  However, the ODROID-U3 is far superior to the Raspberry, well worth the extra $24 and could easily be the foundation of a cheap Crypti node.  Here's some links to get up to speed:

https://blacksn0w.de/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/magazine.odroid.com_assets_201301_pdf_ODROID-Magazine-201301.pdf

http://hardkernel.com/main/products/prdt_info.php?g_code=G138745696275&tab_idx=1

http://magazine.odroid.com/

http://forum.odroid.com/index.php

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcIXknkcNjg&feature=player_embedded

I encourage the devs put up an official Crypti microSD card image for the ODROID-U3.

The key advantage that PoS Crypti / NXT etc have over PoW Bitcoin / Doge etc is that Crypti only needs a single block calculation per block time to secure the blockchain instead of literally thousands of millions of billions for Bitcoin with its expensive and power hungry miner ASICS.  Avoiding the ASIC arms race with cheap single board computers is why Crypti will ultimately win and Bitcoin will ultimately die.  I have a lot of ideas about how Crypti can use the U3, this is not my last post on this subject.

MalReynolds - I have a Rasperry Pi, just need to get a working SD card for it. I think I'll get an 8GB card - any tips on what OS to use if its mostly just for a crypti node?

I think one of the main reasons 70~ mil XCR is on BTER is because of the withdrawal fee at 1%

Can you talk to Lin to get him to remove it completely for a week when MP v2 opens then impose it again? Until then BTER is just holding coins hostage.
And with Mintpal opening for you people who want to trade there should be able to transfer freely in the start without a 1% fee to get markets and arbitrage going. And thus people wont be forging empty blocks either. And with windows wallet it will open up for many new forgers to join the project. You should make the best of this opportunity
Else it might end up as Cryptsy/Poloniex adds. Barely anybody transfers their coins there it's just held in BTER.

Lin shouldn't worry because those who trade on BTER will stay.

Having so much on a single exchange is bad for it overall imo

We have a lot of thoughts on this as well and will get more into this aspect soon. You are 100% correct though. The U3 is a great platform for a Crypti Node.

Debian 7 (native OS on Raspberry Pi) or Ubuntu 14 (native OS for ODROID-U3).  See:

https://github.com/crypti/crypti-docs/blob/master/install.md

The Raspbian OS is a modified Debian Wheezy (Debian 7.5)

https://wiki.debian.org/RaspberryPi

Ubuntu on a Raspberry is a story unto itself, because Ubuntu stopped supporting the Raspberry chipset after release 9. See:

It's because there's no windows wallet, I think. Let's see how much coins will be left on Bter a week from now.

I have a general question for the devs.  In a sentence or two, what are the primary advantages / disadvantages that using node.js for a cryptocoin has compared to using Java, like NXT does?

Here's how I got Crypti running on my Raspberry Pi.

Warning: I don't think the pi is powerful enough.  It takes a REEEEALLY long time to install and process the blockchain.

Code:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
wget http://node-arm.herokuapp.com/node_latest_armhf.deb
sudo dpkg -i node_latest_armhf.deb
wget http://downloads.crypti.me/crypti-node/0.1.x/crypti-linux-0.1.6c.zip
unzip crypti-linux-0.1.6c.zip
cd 0.1.6c
npm install
sudo npm install -g node-pre-gyp node-gyp forever
cd node_modules
cd ed25519
node-gyp configure
node-gyp build
cd
cd 0.1.6c
npm install
forever start app.js

I want to add more fast loading (then it's loding now) in next versions. I think it will help.
