i dont know if you recognized the desaster around bitbay, bter, bobsurplus and zimbeck. everything points to that the p'n'd group around surplus (https://twitter.com/EMC2Whale) and bter scammed bitbay icon investors in amount of ~690+ BTC. now if this gettin proofed and bter is involved i dont think it'll be a good decision to get nem on there for trading. as i said its not proofed at the moment but all signs point to that case.

500 BTC transfer from bter wallet to surplus. to be honest i have no words for that parasites.

Bitcoin genesis block was mined on Jan. 3 2009. Maybe launch on the anniversary?

That's a neat idea Smiley

Its starting to become very obvious that multi sig is a smokescreen for the fact the team can't produce a working client. Come clean guys, we will respect you more. (though thats not difficult)

On testnet the client works. Multisig is a must have. Bitcoin has it since more than a year. Releasing a new coin without multisig support is pointless.

Looks like launch will be end january (or later) ?!

Yeah I would say at this point we should expect an April launch, that way it is realistic and won't be any more month to month delays heh

@devs

what happened recently with blockchain.info and accounts being hacked looks to me like it was an issue with bitcoin rather than blockchain.info? im not sure to be honest, i could be wrong, but it seems that way from the thread johoe posted on btt(link below) and it does have me concerned.

http://www.coindesk.com/good-samaritan-blockchain-hacker-returned-255-btc-speaks/

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=581411.0

if this is a fault on bitcoins side, is it something that all cryptos are affected by, just PoW, or just bitcoin? is this something that could affect nem?

It's definitely a blockchain.info mistake.  It's like Malleability, which is a bitcoin flaw only if a service provider doesn't take basic precautions, which makes it the service providers flaw.

Is there a bug switching between addresses within wallet? I think it is error 500 that comes up.

And I also get error 709 an account needs to be part of the network or something when I try to start harvesting. I have sent and received many time from the account. I can see the recent transactions right there.

I like this idea too, but that's just three weeks away.

Just to add to the collection of fun NEM puns, here's one I just thought of: I'm getting a bit NEMpatient for the coin to launch Wink

The address you used to registers your stake (if you did it right) it only created once by the generator. Even without reinstalling the client you'd create a different one when you run the generator.
As long as you have the priv-key you generated you can do whatever you want on the test net. It has nothing todo with the live net.

There is a bug that results in an error if you switch to an address which is unknown to the blockchain.
Next release will fix it.

Many people didnt understand that the creation of real account data was just a simple address generator. I think thats because the way it was implemented in NCC led to some misunderstanding. If would have been more clear if there was just an "Address Generator for Real Accounts". But yeah... too late now Cheesy

Well even if you don't understand it we did tell everyone abundantly clear that the data need to be saved in a secure place. Plus there is a check when you create it that asks you to paste the data again so this is really fool proof imho.

thx.

why is there such a low trade volume on the NXT AE for the NEMStake?

Are the people waiting for the next announcement?

Sometimes I can not understand people who buy only when we are about 50 k or 100 k ?

Buy low and sell high, or simply keep to your NEM Stakes.

I must wait a few days for my BTC to convert it into Nxt to buy some Stakes and i hope NEM will not launch until this year i want to buy low  Grin

or you think on the first days on exchanges you will get 1,000,000 NEM for 2 BTC ? I don´t know 550 Euro for 1 million NEM ? hmm... ?!

I guess there are a lot of pitfalls when building services around bitcoin that devs have to be aware of.
