Well, crypto is down overall (just like all kinds of assets all over the world). NEM has been taking longer than we had hoped, so it makes sense that some people are getting edgy. Launch really is getting closer, though, so I hope people can cheer up and help welcome in the new economy.
We have some amazing projects planned for this year and if even just half of them are successful, I think we will generate a lot of buzz.
Frankly i'd be really surprised if we didn't. Something interesting is happening in Bitcoin the last couple of days. The bears have tried to push down the price lower and they hit resistant. Plus a couple of pumps have started to pull the price up. Of course the bears and bulls are still fighting, but this is the first time in a long time where the bulls weren't getting beaten badly. You mean buying into their own sell walls? Oldest game in the book!  |

Of course telegram is not good (regarding privacy etc.).
But I don't know a good alternative. You can't compare telegram chats with the forum or IRC.
So, if you tell me an alternative which is as good as telegram regarding handling (fast desktop client, group chats working perfectly nice, quick file transfer), I will be glad to switch to that.
Slack could be an option - https://slack.com/.(No phone number needed. ) No phone # is needed for telegram, either. There are services like burner. The real reason we started using telegram is that there are other groups for BTC that have a lot of important people in the crypto world on them. It is important to keep track of what everyone is doing. +1 for there being a lot of crypto groups already on Telegram and being able to connect with them. Also, the telephone number thing is just a one time thing and a person can easily obtain a disposable number. After that it isn't needed. I have been on Whatsapp/Telegram for more than 18 months now and have close to 600 people all more civilised than what we see with some of us here. They are real people with real intentions to move the crypto world, unlike the BTT forum in general. What is worse is that we are probably addressing socks of the same person in multiple instances. For all you know, we are in a ghost town of only a few people in BTT. We have choices. For those who want to continue to wear a mask, they are free to do so. Nobody is forcing them to expose themselves. Likewise, they should not complain they cannot do telegram. Just too bad. They just can't have the cake and eat it, too. I believe the majority who really cares about NEM is already on the telegram. |

Yup, also remember that this conversation was about his Space Internet that I doubt will pose a real challenge to terrestrial FO and not about Elon Musk other ventures. And also not about unwiring Mars. That I don't care and don't want to know as I doubt anyone of us will want to or live in Mars during my lifetime.

We're still fighting with multisig, it's working, but it's too slow right now (that's why testnem blockchain restart didn't happen yet)
We need better performance to make it usable on a daily basis, otherwise we'd fall into problems quite quick.

How do we know he wasn't trading with himself on AE for exact same reason? These numbers don't prove shit. I highly doubt NEMstake has been traded more than SuperNet |

If one person (without coding skills) can manipulate the stats of the entire AE in such a big way then it does prove something. Why would you need coding skills to buy and sell on AE? It only costs 1 Nxt to post and 1 Nxt to buy on AE. 2000 Nxt will get you 1000 fake trades with yourself. UP was obviously motivated enough that he created sock puppets even for BTT forum. God knows what he was doing on AE |
