Just to confirm, if I missed phase 1 of redemption, I can't do anything for phase 2?

It depends, are you a btt or Nxt AE stakeholder?

If you're Nxt AE stakeholder please read this: https://medium.com/@xtester/updated-phase-2-redemption-guide-401e63b43344

If you're btt stakeholder the answer is no.
I received a token by PM in October and have done nothing since. How do I proceed?

@xtester.  Am I correct ?
1.All of  2nd phase socks are being used for Silver coins and node payments.
2. 1st phase socks were used for the waiting list at start of project.
3. Inflation will not be put into the mix
4. It is likely that people will get additional coins.

Im really not sure on these things.

1. Don't think we have a final decision on that yet but this was a proposal to which the community responded positively.
2. I think makoto or pat would be in a better position to answer this.
3. Don't think we have a final decision on that yet but I think makoto or pat would be in a better position to answer this.
4. Again, don't think we have a final decision on that yet but I think that some part could go back to the community.

Ok, seems you are a btt stakeholder. In this case you'll be able to claim your stake after launch.

The sock and unclaimed stakes should be used at the discretion of all NEMheads, IMO.  Smiley  We need to have a well funded, multi-year marketing and protocol development plan in place.  NXT is a good example of what to do and what not to do.  I think if we use sock accounts to dilute the value of NEM, by selling on the open market in order to issue silver bullion keepsakes, we miss a chance to use that for marketing and core development.

Bringing in users is the #1 priority of any crypto.

Imagine uniting the tech of NXT, the user base of DOGE, with the social networking of Stellar all into one coin.  This is what NEM can and should strive for.

Makoto, Pat, BloodyRookie, Gimre, and Jaguar are stand up individuals and have poured a tremendous amount of work into this baby.  Let's try to support them in anyway we can and try to remember why the New Economy Movement started in the first place.

As long as we are slave of fiat we have to follow it. In my point of view we should have direct
exchange with it, but like you said  " we would not be there without these guys".

It's been a while. Is Nem launching soon?
Early December, we hope !!!

We hope yes. If not then not. I'm not too worried about WHEN we launch. For me it's important HOW we launch. Launching a stable network that is absoutely bullet-proof and well tested is much more important to me than launching next month or even this year.
Only few coins that have released recently have been written from scratch and they are facing serious issues. I don't know how Crypti is doing but NODE had some outages recently...again. This can't and won't happen to us because we won't release until we're absolutely ready for it.
I don't mean to say we're taking things slow - hell no. We're going as fast as possible but as slow as neccessary. People will be able to be confident in our software and network from day 1 and that is worth a lot more than launching before some imaginary deadline.

Other things - beside devlopment - also take time but as xtester said those things will be announce soon Smiley

With this in mind, i sincerely hope there will be guides for people who wish to set up nodes.

As i said in a previous message; i'd like to support the network by purchasing a few banana Pi's to help support NEM. But i would need some guidance to get it up and running as i'm somewhat unfamiliar with the OS's they use.

I don't think so  I mean don't know.
Maybe you could use any of those payment methods at:
https://coinomat.com to buy NXT then to by NEMSTake on the NXT AE.
