Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

=========================================== Reasons for Selecting the Cube as the Symbol of NEM.
-- snap --
really great article, objective ! Two good points: "cube" - hexagon, tomoe - polarizing The latter is often more important than many have thought. That's why the possible negative points must not be just pushed away. For example, if 60% doesn't see number 6's figure in the tomoe, and 40% does see, is it ok to skip that point of view? If you were in a team of the other candidate in US President election, I'm pretty sure, what would you decide after evaluating 60 and 40%. +1. If NEM group really is going forward despite the opinion of NEM people, THEN can be started the real conspiracy debate first utopianfuture "played" with puppets and "got caught", then a "good" logo was autocratically chosen, what caused NEM to be ... ... ... ... "autocratically" ... Hmmm, interesting word. UF sounded sometimes like ignoring some things or persons. That ignorance was kind of explained with the massive work load. Now the work load is splitted? Do the load or responsibility affect to leaders behaviour against the crowds?

All the logo has to do is feel and look good at first glance for outsider. Simple as that. You will not be able to provide lengthy explanations and diagrams with it unfortunatelly. It just is what it is to a fresh newbie as he first interprets it. Cube is a cube, it's wishful thinking to suppose that people will pick the letters from it, no way. Tomoe is some kind of whirl, etc. You have to look it from outsiders' point of view.
You are right that the first glance works like u said. The explanations and diagrams are for the later times, when the outsider has decided to be interested in NEM. That N, E, M letters to hexagon change can be explained very easily, with one picture. The picture can lead to wiki page "history of NEM" where is explained more

Do the load or responsibility affect to leaders behaviour against the crowds? The logo wasn't chosen "autocratically" - in fact no final logo has been chosen. The logo that was brought forward was supposed to be an interim logo. we needed one that was used among all services and decided to use a new one instead of the ones already present. It was badly communicated I'll give you that but the plan has always been to have a vote for the FINAL logo i.e. the logo that is going to be used after launch (final in this case is a relative term as logos and CIs can always change). btw.: We plan on having the same designer that made the beloved cube logo come up with a suggestion for an entire branding.

Personally i found nothing wrong with the dev made logo, but then i also have nothing against the cube either. I wouldn't recommend people fret over what conspiracy nuts or religious nuts think of it.
I agree. To me they are both "just fine". Either is okay. Ultimately, I would like to see NEM get a great symbol. Also, I really think we should refrain from "coin" shaped designs. NEM will not be a "coin" but a platform, of which a coin is just a part. For that reason of the logos, I thought the Zoro Z/M sign was the best. When I saw it on coinmarketcap it clearly was one of the best logos. Somebody proposed a N with two lines for the denomination symbol which is a pretty cool idea. I think an artistic logo made out a stylized N could be interesting to explore. Not sure if it would work, but at least we would be making our own path. Everybody else has just copied bicoins name and symbol but adapted it a bit. Pretty weak. The move away from coins has happened with code, but not with logos. It's just a matter of time. I see NXT, Dark, Ripple, and Maidsafe moving in that direction but not completely.

BTW, I think NXT, Maidsafe, Ripple, and Darkcoin have all shown some pretty innovated steps away from the code of bitcoin. It is also no surprise that they are also the four on coinmarketcap that have veered away from the "coin" theme too.

@KimNg
Awesome writeup!
It's too bad that some people won't have an open mind about the logo and no matter people say they will just ignore it and only look at it from their point of view.
Please back up your claim that some people won't have an open mind. Either that, please read through the threads to know what have been happening. Don't just spill your guts all over please! Thanks.

I think he is talking more about how altcoins are losing momentum. i know, but its the consensus algorithm thats the issue underneath it all, and thats PoW. so the issue is with PoW in general which makes me think that this issue may start with alts, and slow feed its way up to bitcoin, eventually. probably a long time before that happens though, if ever. Depends of price of bitcoin so basically of investors or users, or in generally of mass adoption which has slowed significantly.

Can people still buy NEM at the AE of NXT or not?
I'm confused after the scam.
Sorry guys I'm still a bit confused as to how fake tokens were floating on the exchange, can someone clarify? Do we need to be concerned about stakes we bought (do I need to validate the account I bought from?), or is this just going to get eaten by the dev war chest fund?

You can't do anything about fake tokens on a decentralized exchange, all orders are matched automatically. Decentralized exchange is not controlled by anyone, that's how it's designed to be. They are not even fake tokens, they are same good tokens, just given to someone a few times.
