In my honest opinion the last thing NEM needs is an official cheerleader, it makes the whole project look unprofessional.

I may have mentioned that I am a professional translator before, but if not... I am! So I'll take a look at the Japanese translations on git and see if I can revise them to get everything perfect in preparation for launch.

In my honest opinion the last thing NEM needs is an official cheerleader, it makes the whole project look unprofessional. Many big companys have smailing faces on their site and graphics. Few years ago there were only white caucasian male faces... nowadays a young female oriental face is just perfect. Looks like she says: NEM is new, NEM is smart!

Few years ago there were only white caucasian male faces... nowadays a young female oriental face is just perfect. Looks like she says: NEM is new, NEM is smart! Not to be pedantic or too overly politically correct but "oriental" is considered to be a derogatory term these days. Just saying! The correct term is "Asian". Furthermore, I concur and don't see her as a "cheerleader" at all and find it a bit offensive that simply because she is a female she would be considered as such. The picture on the site looks great and fits with modern design aesthetics perfectly. I wouldn't change a thing about it. Now, if we were to market NEM exclusively using her as the face of NEM then I may change my tune on that because then it does start to get a bit into the realm of "objectification" but as it stands right now it's a very tasteful and well-shot photograph. But anyway, this all may be getting slightly off-topic now so that's all I will say about that.

This is strawman as no one is being made an official cheerleader or being turned into the personified image of NEM. Some of us would like to see someone who used to contribute images for NEM to post more. Does anyone else want Kkot NEM back?

would be nice if we can achieve a photo collection of people from all around the world showing the NEM logo with the typical scenery where she/he comes from. for example: - austria/germany/switzerland: alps, mountains in the back and a person (in lederhose or dirndl ) shows the nem logo like on a promotional poster. - italy: venice in the backround or something else. - france: in front of the eiffel tower. - usa: on th ny time square maybe in comco with naked cowboy - ... so the message could be: NEM. Everyone - Anytime - Everywhere ... i hope you know what i mean, sorry for my bad english + i dont have that much time at work to write here e// i like the.. style now imagine the nem logo in her hands instead of the flowers http://www.ritzenhof.at/image/files-RegionsommerLandschaftDirndl01Main.jpgmaybe its too cheesy for the basic idea ^^

Just wanted to let you know because some people might get upset about it.

I do like the idea though in concept.

http://www.enterstageright.com/archive/articles/0814/cryptocurrp6.htmAn article was posted detailing the history of NEM from December to February. Search for: "From Bulldog To Populist" From Bulldog To Populist
Late in the night of December 6th 2013 Eastern time, a new face joined the Bitcointalk community. It took him about a day before he started posting, but only several hours to shift from first-post to openly asking to buy 0.5 Bitcoin's worth of Nxt. He did ask some due-diligence-type questions around that time, but he was certainly interested in second-generation cryptocurrencies. And definitely interested in Nxt. Waxing nostalgic about the good times in my younger days, half a year ago. Yes, very nostalgic. A great read! It is a great account of the first days of NEM.

Quick (kinda relevant) question. Does anyone else have the issue with secureae.com where it just stays on "Asset data loading, please wait..."?

Quick (kinda relevant) question. Does anyone else have the issue with secureae.com where it just stays on "Asset data loading, please wait..."?
same problem here. next question: the description for the nemstake in the assert exchange reads as A NEMstake token represents one million NEM receivable after the official launch of NEM blockchain. [...]
on the other hand on the announcment page we can see that How many coins will each stakeholder get?
NEM will have a maximum of 4 000 000 000 coins, all distributed with the genesis block.
as a stakeholder i claimed one nemstake asset, but according to some complex and very complicated calculations, i determined that with 4 billion nem in total and 1000 nem stakes on the AE, each stake should be four million nem and not one million.

That's one I can answer! Not all of the NEM supply is listed on the AE. Each stake is indeed one million NEM.

Yes, only 1000 stakes have been allocated towards distribution on the NXT asset exchange. 3000 will remain associated with BTT accounts.

Holy balls. Anyone see that 39.5 share bid? Haha. That's 1% folks its obviously never going to get filled.. so that begs the question.. why is it there? be careful when buying.. if that wall vanishes... I follow. For poor folk like myself it's mostly academic. My world is tenths of shares . Yeah that guy already has 15, presumably selling off using the wall then buying back eh? By the way, for all of those griping about the lack of "value" to the crowd sale stuff, y'all recognize the point of the crowd sale is to give a larger benefit to the seller on the other side of the transaction to fuel mobile development, which is the key to the success of this platform, right? Giving 1000 NEM+ on silver sort of defeats the point ya know? I bought some when clearly straight shares were a better "value" .

I bought some more NEMstake and a couple of silver coins today.
