control board can operate without damaging two BM1382. I would like to remove them, so I bought one S3 non-working board for half price. that it is necessary unsolder?

Can we get a firmware that actually has the correct fan speed? Out of 11 miners, 6 are wrong.

It is the fan data from my S3's pages.

Why are there 3 columns though, that's what I'm asking.

My S3s still got antMiner_S320140826 firmware with ckolivas' antminer/s3/4.6.0-140908 fix and have been hashing around 490 GH/s at 243.75M since then.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I have two S3's and if they run long enough one comes up with an "-" and the other an "x".  Rebooting doesn't clear these but if I shut down and let sit for a minute then restart both, both come up all"o"'s.  Always the same ASIC on each.  It can't be temperature as with windows open the room was 42°.

it can be temp if you never pasted them.

when i first got my s3s the first thing i did was tear them down and repaste them, and on one machine 2 chips didnt have any paste.. its like the guy at the factory skipped right over them.

It is from M's ant monitor. The 2nd and 3rd columns are the front and rear fans. I know I do not have 7,8,9, and 10k RPM fans

Hi Guys.

Be careful with the last firmware of January. I was update it yesterday in the night and today my S3+ is burn for the expensive voltage.
My Power supply, Corsair HX 1050 is work fine, but 2 of the PCIe connections are burn and the s3 don't mining. It only mining 10 minutes to 450Gh and down the hash to 50Gh more or less.

I had flash to the October firmware but my problem continue same. Any help, please?.

Best regards.
Antuam.

Can you post a picture please? Its very likely going to be an RMA if its under warranty though. PM BitmainWarranty to arrange an RMA. Be sure to link to your post describing the issues, what type and how many miners you wish to have repaired/replaced and your bitmaintech.com order number.

Kidding aside, I concur.  Considering Bitmain's technical accomplishments to date, how hard is it for them to fix this lingering issue?

this means that if you are out of warranty to NOT flash newer firmware as they wont help you out?

if the firmware bricks the miners, it should be warranty forever.

it might be the fans fault..

ive had case fans in my pc that show up as spinning really fast on the motherboard sensor.. i replaced the fan and the speed shows correct..

also, id set your diff to 512..
and your hwe% is really high.. its causing your rejects to be high.. plus best share of 0 after 5 hours?

you might get more share rate if you set your diff to 512, and lower your speed to the 237.5 setting.

more shares = higher payout

All my units with fan issues are from B4.

Some pools use vardiff, and you don't really need a high diff on a normal pool with S3's. My S3's run between 256 and 512 on most pools. Also some pools do not support the best share value. BTC Guild does not, for example.
