ANTMINER S3+ Discussion and Support Thread

One might ask how many devices does he want to connect to the internet.  All via ethernet cable might be easiest.  If he has 4 high speed switch ports and a single uplink port on the comcast and if he has 4 or fewer devices to connect then just use the comcast router.

If he has more devices than high speed switch ports then add the netgear router.

now of course ive obviously changed up that one ethernet connection in between the comcast and netgear to the regular lan from that designated internet port....

wait, hold on, the comcast and netgear are side by side?

i figured they was across the room..
doesnt the comcast router have 4 ports?

lets just hit the basics.. lets try to get the s3s working individually.

unplug everything..
plug one s3 into the COMCAST router..

set it to IP 192.168.1.200 < this makes it easy.
set the DNS to 192.168.1.1
set the gateway to 192.168.1.1

and see what happens.

got it ok, changed the antminer to .200

praying thts what i was supposed to do... still no change in nslookup

ok so this should be working.. try changing the dns to 75.75.75.75 altho i dont see why 8.8.8.8 wouldnt work.

i noticed the cord is yellow.. does it say PATCH or anything on it on a label? maybe try another cord..

i wish I had been smart enough to get into all this it stuff back then... but sadly I dont remeber that from my few months playing around



definitly have changed the lan setting on the antminer i had running, thinking it was a non running one, back when i was trying to go back and forth in the gui's to compare why one was running and the others werenet. This is the reason That the one i had up was taken offline That is not the same machine im playing with now but im not reallly sure whats been done on this particuler one in that aspect heres some screenshots thatll hopefully help narrow down where im at here.....
