I was order #8 in batch 1. Received all 4 S3's today.

Did some power measurements for those who might be curious. Kill-a-watt is showing power draw at the wall for two S3's as they come out of the box.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Hopefully someone will be able to figure out what this " dc/dc" component is and figure a way to replace it with a proper one.
This should get them back to their advertised speed and probably allow safe overclocking.

Nice. I can fit 3 of these on a EVGA 1300 watt PSU.

The 2 S3's are running off of an Enermax 1000W (ERV1000EWT-G) PSU I pulled out of one of my S2's. Each S3 is averaging 440Gh/s (+/- 5Gh/s)

While not perfect (lower than projected speed due to power issues), an excellent delivery just 1 month after the initial announcement. Good job Bitmain.

Anyone remember when B2 starts shipping?

It was before the 20th, but it may be a day or 2 late since some b1 are late. I think I got one of the last b2s. Hours after I ordered they went to b3 and the lower price Sad

I don't have a thermal probe handy, but they certainly run cooler than a stock S1. Front and Rear fan speed hover at about 2000rpm. Near silent operation. The air coming out of the rear of the unit is only mildly warm, similar to an under-volted S1.

ssh username and password is "root" and "root" (same as S1)

New options in the miner configuration page allow control of the Pool Management Strategy for CGminer:

Contents of the default asic-freq file (located in /etc/config/) (same location as S1)
Code:
config 'asic-freq' 'default'

        #option 'freq_value'    '0982'  #225M

For the coupon offered, any one know whether it has a time limited. If not, I may opt that.  All my bitocoin is used to buy their machines so far and hence it is better.  However, if there is a time limit, not sure how long to get my 1.45 bitcoin to get the next batch, may get the refund instead.

Any one got experience?
