Just wondering
DarkSilk IS NOT replacing Silkcoin but is a new coin with I2P nativity, Tor/Clearnet compatibility, Proof of Stake, Stormnodes (Masternodes) that is running alongside Silkcoin, sharing features and with the Silkcoin community members the forefront of its development. I am Spencer Lievens (SLievensDRKSLK/SCDeveloper/SpencerLievensSLG) and have been developing the code for around 4 months, implementing features and fixes and basically ensuring upon launch everyone is happy with the source and other coin features, even down to the artwork being used. Currently there is a Release Candidate of DarkSilk up on GitHub ( https://github.com/scdeveloper/darksilk) which people can build and test the features and mining etc. If you have any other questions please ask  |

Just setup http://brightonbmxco.com/ with Bitcoin payments via BitPay (Website I am building ATM, products currently being added). I have a few merchants (around 5-10 minimum) that I can get accepting DRKSLK upon launch. With the system to pay Bitcoin Invoices we can simply use the BitPay gateway and have a nice "We Accept DarkSilk Here" logo in their footer  |

yes the scorpion and phoneix are the logos for silk and darksilk. although couldn't figure out which is for which. currently some good stuff in here. more then one idea is obviously needed for different aspects of marketing.
I'm happy thoth and his friend are working y out a drug deal for bitcoin. new faces in the thread are never an issue of course. lol this is bitcointalk. . where fucked up shit lives. so personally I welcome all and as always even with a moderated thread i don't delete anything. nothing to hide hear. addicts and weirdos more then welcome
looking forward. to an unmoderated thread and a clean launch.

Yes but ratio is undecided as of yet. personally I think one for one with an exchange fee so we can keep finding dev for this thing. sustainable dev is a good plan. |

To get back at the logo's / imagery. Maybe it's good to have something that is easily reproduced in different forms. Like: Concentrating on an aspect of an object    Or using polygons     Maybe combining the two. Silk and Polygons seem to be paradoxical! Polygons are in complete opposition with the smoothness of Silk, but if you think Silk as the fabric of time/space or code it's all vector i.e. polygons. While focusing on a specific part keeps things simple and distinguished.  |

yeah I agree that's more power in a logo and recognizable.
Some artist should do some tweaks with the colors and shape to create unique symbol

If anyone is up for getting some stormnodes (masternodes) setup for the testnet I can provide funds for testing from the main wallet I have I have also built a new mac wallet of the current source up on Github. For OSX 10.7+ (But try on 10.6.8 and let me know) - https://github.com/SCDeveloper/DarkSilk/releases/tag/RCI'd like to get a stormnode setup. Pm you my address? No need to PM me your address. Just post it here since its all just for testing purposes anyhow. My wallet won't sync |
