BTCD is also added on cryptorush.in
cryptorush??? did they pay everyone back yet?? I personally can't login into my old account (got some BTCs stuck there). No response from support, make your own conclusions. you need to create new account with same email as the first time, and you will see your owed balance in few days Thanks Tommy. Just saw your post. Thanks

I don't really like the name "Bitcoin" to be honest, but if we're stuck with it the best alternative/complement is definitely BitcoinDark

>> I don' t like the name too. "Dark Bitcoin" could have been a better choice
>>> I don't really like the name "Bitcoin" to be honest Don't worry. If Crypto Currency gets widely adopted in 10-20 years then you won't even know what's behind the scenes. There will likely be some world currency the masses use with a name that has nothing to do with the underlying technology. A technology that is far, far different than anything in use today. BTCD is just another stepping stone on the way to that future. It likely won't exist in it's current form in 1-5 years... and that's a GOOD THING! Progress will completely reshape this crypto world numerous times.

how many anon cards should we preorder? we found a real mastercard with $500+ per day, $15K/mo cost of about $40 per card (not sure on exact!) mailed anywhere in the world
so this is not a binding commit, just to get some sort of idea you can get more than on card some of the fees I am not liking, but we are still negotiating
Hi James what are the costs per withdrawal? That would made a difference at 500 a day. there are many plans just the first one I see is having one withdraw per month free then 2% it is a lot of complex options and this is just the standard plan we are negotiating as good of a deal as possible this is with different bank, other one was too slow! Sometimes when you go for shopping, shops ask for ID to confirm the card is yours. What will happen if there is no name on the card? Should I say I am "nobody"? They ask for ID when there is a name on the card to verify a match. When paying with prepaids with no name, no ID is necessary. I have used prepaids all kinds of places and never been asked for ID.

Does anyone know how much Ethereum's IPO has raised? I think it's over 30k BTC now but am not sure. Would be nice to have a benchmark...

Apologies if this has been discussed already. I've been out of circulation for a fortnight with almost no web access. I'm curious about the economic effect of the ipo.
Ethereum has been blamed for sucking btc out of the system and causing a brutal bear market in the alts. Would this be the reverse of that? Btc used to buy selected anon-alts, significantly boosting their prices. Plus the supply/demand effect of tying up thousands of btc-worth of coins in cold storage. Alts like Litecoin get hit both ways - sold as a vehicle to buy SuperNET shares and then excluded from joining the network.
Thoughts?
i think coins lacking innovation will suffer, which is good in my opinion. like you said, coins that aren't part of SN might be sold by people looking for funds to invest with. some people will reject this, ie hodlers of forks. they will write off SN as some giant "ponzi scheme" or whatever terminology. which is also good; the crypto world doesn't need people who are afraid of change. we're seeing technological innovation in this specific sector happening extremely fast (EXTREMELY!!). i think we'll see a fair amount of people and coins get flushed out with the advent of SN adapt or perish... The market should start doing the following: 1. evaluate the coins they own to see if it has any unique features and if not, then I apologize to them for what is about to happen. If they are reading this, then hopefully they can get better price. 2. they can then look for coins with good unique features and a good community to target the coins most likely to become part of SuperNET CORE. it is risky as all the coins look like they will be saying they will get into the CORE, but the people that can properly evaluate the odds, could make some good money 3. they can just buy at IPO and wait for only the actual deals, which SuperNET benefits from and also collect the future dividends. 4. Some NXT assets will also become part of the CORE, and could well start trading on some exchanges The expected size of offering and thus the userbase of SuperNET is getting pretty large. With the expected value of the future dividends being proportional to the number of users, the larger the IPO, the more the expected value and the higher the expected book value multiple upon trading (up to some saturation limit if it really goes crazy high, but this is not so likely as there is no fancy marketing stuff, just my ramblings) James P.S. for those who are worried that SuperNET will somehow compete with BTCD, I hope you are understanding properly now. People should know , SuperNET does not compete with BTCD. BTCD is heart of SuperNET. is there a competition between the body and heart? Never always a healthy heart keeps body in the best condition.

Sorry - there's been a misunderstanding about my post (not surprising, I was exhausted after travelling all day when I wrote it on my phone - never the best time or way to make a point clear). The idea was that the SuperNET IPO would actually benefit various coins, in exactly the reverse way that Ethereum had damaged them - over and above any intentional effect it had on a coin's value. By pulling money into bitcoin via Coinomat, purchasing key alts and restricting their supply by hodling, it aims to do almost the exact reverse of what Ethereum did in its IPO.

Anonymous is a strong term, we have yet to see one cryptocurrency achieve that instead of boasting about "anonymity".
Simply integrating mixing or wiring the transactions via Tor/L2P isn't enough, integrating mixing and claiming anonymity makes about as much sense as lowering the block speed and claiming to be the "fastest altcoin" or "the altcoin with the fastest transactions". It implies that there is some original innovation when there is none.
I might not be on here 24/7 looking into every single altcoin but as far as I know we are the only candidate that got it so far, however we are pretty early into development ourselves.

The next update will likely be the last mandatory hardfork, we will introduce a reduced blockchain and apply some amorphous computing concepts that we have been working on very hard, topology-aware clients are the future of decentralized monetary systems and will lead to much faster propagation of information and generally significantly reduced dis-synchronization of the network.

Maybe someone can answer what step we are at now regarding BTCD? Are we still waiting for someone to review JL's code or waiting for something else? I checked the ANN thread and through all of the conversation on here and questions, it's hard to figure out where we are right now and what the next steps are.
Thanks!

if we could go to any ATM in the world with the anon card, deposit fiat and get BTCD instantly, it would be awesome! ! ! reverse send BTCD to SuperNET card and get fiat from any ATM that supports mastercard
