"Information gathered is notarized through the ClearingHouse protocol on the Viacoin Blockchain for "cryptographic time-stamping of digital assets and documents," as described by Viacoin.

Viacoin is a cryptocurrency, which was introduced in July, aside with ClearingHouse, a decentralized asset issuance and Blockchain notary service.  It also hired Bitcoin core developer Peter Todd as Chief Scientist and advisor back in August."

Yeah... I only see 2 options. Either:

#1 Peter Todd and Edgar Soares are loser scammers

or

#2 MOON!!!!

I'm leaning more towards MOON!!!!

I have to admit there are enough reasons for such delusional optimism: VIA has a dev with the entrepreneurial acumen of a hog and a technology guaranteed to be obsolete within 12-18 months... what could go wrong?

To the moon indeed.  Inevitably. ..

Can someone explain to me how to use ClearingHouse with a concrete example ?
Is it a platform or a technology ? I mean can I rely on something running on my own hardware ?

There is a separate bitcointalk for Clearinghouse. Maybe you can ask your question there or DM directly to BTCDrak.

The 420 Alliance Joint Force #420ajf is looking at using some sort of idea like blocktrust.org to run the Crypto X / ICO crowd funding thing.

#420ajf is trying to find out the fees associated with running an "ICO/DAC" crowd funding campaign with blocktrust.org/VIA.

#420ajf are working on a 200 BTC idea. This is the same amount of BTC blocktrust.org raised for SendChat. This might be a good fit but there's a lack of information with fees.

Yes. What are the fees?

We are going for full transparency of funds in new business models.

http://www.newsbtc.com/2015/04/22/blockchain-of-blockchains/

Conclusion of this article about the blockchain of Blockchains.
'The whole point of hashing to a blockchain is to benefit from its greater security, so we have to use the most secure one available. Bitcoin’s dominance might not last forever, though, due to scalability issues with the protocol. Its blockchain is too large, transaction speeds are too slow, and the fees are too high to be used for anything except currency.

The ultimate blockchain will be one designed entirely for this purpose, a relatively small file intended only to store hash values. Its low resource consumption will make it easy for any device to join the network, and conceivably, almost every device will. It will become the universal judge of truth, capable of resolving any dispute–the blockchain of blockchains.'

Can Viacoin aim for this position, being the blockchain of Blockchains?

I upgraded my two full nodes flawlessly (Linux VPS and dedicated, Debian 7 and 8, x64, from your precompiled archive). Same for my Windows wallet (7 x64). Changelog is heavy, for those of us who think you do nothing...

Thanks.
