Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

I assume, devs are informed some time before delisting and that a small group around him/them are informed. When xch is hyped two months before delisting, then my conclusion is not out of the sky, that a pump is initiated to exit for those who know about delisting.

Your assumption is wrong. I only learned about it this morning when someone pasted Polo's tweet on Telegram.
Okay Drak, that is good and important to know.

I said months ago that it could be desisted seemed plainly obvious from the lack of community / development in the space.

When LTBCoin was scheduled for delisting the LTBC community rallied behind it and eventual the token was removed from the delisting schedule and given another chance.

Quote
For the moment, the practical thing is: we can keep our xch only on the clearwallet, not? Is it all safe there, seen the bit troubled recent posts about it? We have to keep our xch somewhere safe.

Maybe convert them into an XCP token !

Edit ironic that Gemz and XDP are also being delisted :

Xcp update by Ruben de Vries
http://counterparty.io/news/evmparty-progress-update/

'It’s already possible to start running a contract on Counterparty testnet with the current code!'

'The biggest task left and something that imo makes a big difference between the EVM on Ethereum or Counterparty is making the contracts work with more than just the native currency (ETH and XCP respectively).'

So you're telling me to buy Counterparty (and not Viacoin), thanks for the tip  Smiley

Better stick to XCP, this coin has no life left in it.

So what?

New all time lows incoming, delisting from bittrex probably, deadbeat dev who moved on long ago and an empty thread where the most gullible remain.

If it looks dead and sounds dead then what is it?

I used to check this thread every day, now I check it once every few weeks at the most.
Hell, I even forget it exists sometimes.  Tongue

Viacoins main selling point was 'The most technically advanced coin', there haven't been any commits to the git repo since February and it isn't being kept up to date with bitoin core,
in fact it is now two versions behind, I haven't seen Drak on tradingview for months, it took about six months for the SSL cert on clearwallet.io to be updated which is simply a matter of copy and paste.

Can you imagine the btc core devs displaying that level of incompetence?

Viacoin has lost 99% of it's value since launch and is still going down. For god sake even the coin specifications on the front page are wrong.

I'm not saying 'sell' because there's no point.
Your money is gone and it's never coming back. Drak created a shitcoin, it was better looking than most but still a shitcoin and it ended a long time ago.

I don't hope you lose money, why would I? You can tell yourselves whatever you want but reality doesn't care about your feelings.
You got took, so did I. Acknowledge it.

BTC - $720 USD
VIA -  $0.01 USD

Man up ffs.

I remember seeing that Viacoin was built on top of Bitcoin 0.10. Bitcoin is now at 0.12 and soon to release 0.13. There are lots of new features in Bitcoin now so if Viacoin could build on top of a newer version we could get those benefits.

Well guys, it's always the same with every open-source crypto coin : you need do'ers to get your open source crypto project going somewhere.

That's what terribly lack of here.... do'ers.

Everybody here wait someone, somewhere, somehow, something magically happen so that everybody (the leechers) can profit from it.

That's not the job of the main dev, btcdrak, to make you profit. His job is to develop and maintain the code. I think he have said it many times already.  Yeah, there was funds raised for via that btcdrak used as a kind of payment and I guess most around here thought a part of it would be re-injected into this crypto project, but this already have been discussed many times also.

Until someone, somewhere, somehow start to develop something using via, and/or invest his time into working to develop things for viacoin, nothing will magically happen. You, let's call it "investor", decided to buy and wait... so that's it and very simple : wait! That's what you have decided to do.

I would still want btcdrak to continue on that and show his thoughts here asap.  This way we will all know what is his feelings, what the current issues and challenges are, what need to be done, etc....

That will be the only way to move viacoin forward.

Cheers.
