Does VIA have a new roadmap (since the original launch 'counterparty clone') ... sorry, I just haven't followed much but own some, and have never really understood why VIA never took off ... can someone offer a brief synopsis of VIA so far

can XCH use Eth's smart contrac?
I think it can, since it is the first to implement a decentralized smart contracts protocol built on top of an altcoin block chain.

Maybe you (as a major/or not holders, or "believers" (let's put it in this way)) should try to do something in VIA's favour, instead asking for some news? Drak is not the one who should do that. His responsibility is the coding part. romanornr, for example, did something in VIA's favour and it doesn't matter if it is because he is holding some coins, or he's a "believer".

XCP integrating Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) is in test phase. When released XCH could adopt it.

The smart thing to do in this situation imo would be to move your wealth out of VIA and into XCP (because we know that XCP is going to port the EVM first), then take your profits and move back into VIA ready for the EVM port to Clearinghouse. That's my plan at least Also, nobody gives a toss about the upcoming VIA halving so let's stop trying to pump that. VIA is mined for free by merge miners and if you don't believe me than please refer to the last VIA halving and the effect it had on price for full details. The initial price increase was due to EVM speculation from the Counterparty camp announcement and (although well intentioned) azure pump. EVM cannot come to Clearinghouse until after the Counterparty release. 'Investing' and 'Speculating' are two very different things. Don't work hard, work smart.

Why is it the culture in this thread to surprise dump information onto the community like it's a good thing? Large projects like BTC announce upcoming features sometimes months in advance giving the community consciousness plenty of time to evaluate the increased value the update brings to the protocol and allows for gradual sensible price discovery. Garbage teasers like “ Something is coming soon” really tells us sweet FA. What are we supposed to do, guess the future and buy randomly in the dark? The only thing this policy achieves is to fomo panic the thread participants and jar the price vertically forcing it into a severely overbought state, followed inevitably by an equally drastic pull back. This is my main objection to the way in which Drak communicates with us. It's also bad imo for the image of users and developers adopting this strategy because it gives them the opportunity to buy in immediately before the feature is implemented and financially rape the poor sods who were asleep when the announcement was made or didn't happen to be monitoring the thread just at the right moment. Btw: still not done. More things to come Well why don't you stop being a jerk, act responsibly and tell us what these " things" are and when you expect to implement them??

You're lucky any development is going on at all with this shitcoin, entire world doesn't cater to you and when you want things done or released, asshat.

If that's true then I'm afraid you're not a very good reader How can I be mad about not making money when the price didn't go up on the news? Come back when you've got some rep

Someone fixed something for free for the community and all you contribute to the community is speculating and bitching about things and they're the jerk? You should be fucking happy and thank him for the work he has done on his freaking sunday :/ You do know that Viacoin and about 99% of all other coins are open source, Right? Do you even know what open source is? Because you are so retarded i did a C&P for you from Wikipedia. " Open-source softwareOpen-source software (OSS) is computer software with its source code made available with a license in which the copyright holder provides the rights to study, change, and distribute the software to anyone and for any purpose.[1] Open-source software may be developed in a collaborative public manner. Open-source software is the most prominent example of open-source development.[2] The open-source model, or collaborative development from multiple independent sources, generates an increasingly more diverse scope of design perspective than any one company is capable of developing and sustaining long term. A report by the Standish Group (from 2008) states that adoption of open-source software models has resulted in savings of about $60 billion per year to consumers." So, Stop bitching and thank him for his work. you're mad you couldn't hear about it beforehand and make money from it is basically what I just read.

Cheers

You sir are a perfect example of why this forum is a cesspool I was around viacoin in 2014, I agree with you that derrend is a retarded, he spread FUD for getting cheap in 2014, and then hyped& dumped viacoin. He is a general pump and dump troll for a penny. Since nowadays the volume is tiny, P&D via can't make big money. Therefore I am sure he looks tiny money for his school lunch. Let's forgive that poor boy.
