It doesn't seem to be fake to me. It was created since April 2014 and is used continuously. I need more people to confirm about the twitter handle.

Now this is confirmed (also going to page 1 and click on the twitter link from the first Viacoin post, it would lead to the official Viacoin twitter). Thanks for the warm and enthusiast welcome. I am looking forward to work more on Viacoin. I did the Azure implementation & a wallet bug fix this summer. Thanks for the warm and enthusiast welcome. If anyone has questions /ideas or just want to talk feel free to send me a message here on btct or twitter. I will try to be as active as I can on this thread & continue with development

A news..Theyve hired a new developer. Many great things are planned ahead I guess it would be cool to see an official blogpost from drak or the new deve. Fingerscrossed Lets go Via I will consider that because you asked. I am just a little busy atm with some code & brainstorming for ideas. But yes informing people with a blog post would be ideal for features. I think people have the right to get more information when implementing a feature or doing a bugfix

So I've been talking quite a lot with Romano about his intentions and ideas for Viacoin which include recruiting more developers. He thinks it would be better for the long term prospects if I step aside from the project. Regarding ClearingHouse, I think the idea needs some extensive revision. There are technical issues with the way it is implemented that clash with short block intervals that make it problematic to operate in a stable and reliable fashion. It is still possible to operate it using the command line but the web wallet is extremely unstable. I think it would be best to leave it for the time being and give most attention to Viacoin. After careful consideration I think to agree with Romano that stepping aside would be for the best allowing for Romano to take over the project development with a clean slate. I already spend most of my available time on Bitcoin Core so making this more formal transition will be a net gain for Viacoin. I can certainly be available for technical advice and opinion.

Do you remain btc fund or via fund for new devs? If this project can be continuing, it will be good

I am working on transferring the via funds to Romano. I think we're going to opt to timelock some/most of the coins as well.
XCH is up to Romano, I think it needs a rethink. The super fast blocktimes make it quite fragile. You can still operate it at command line, but whether it is worth spending development time right now is his decision.

Romano is a talented kid with lots of energy. He has experience in mobile app development, and also a fast learner.
As long as crypto interests him, Viacoin might have a future after all.
So there..

Hi, new dev, any CV or introduction to show us? Maybe you can give via rebirth. Because lonely drak can't do more for via, and he is also btc core dev, he also codes for btc core

Guys, remember to trade more, because low trading volume will lead to delist from poloniex. XC's biggest market cap was much larger than via's, XC was delisted on 5th.

Viacoin is designed from the ground up to be both a digital currency and provide the backbone of ClearingHouse protocol, there is a 100% guarantee that ClearingHouse will always remain compatible with Viacoin.
Seems not 100% guarantee at all. Anyway, i'm glad Romano is on board.

things which are obvious that everyone should know. this is clearly a carefully crafted exit for btcdrak. don't forget that he took your 600 BTC for the ICO. clearinghouse is just a copy and paste of counterparty. btcdrak can't even keep it up and running and doesn't want to pay for servers so he's blaming it on the fast block times. romano has no qualifications except bragging that he can compile things on linux and pretending he is famous for having followers. he has an over inflated ego essentially. scambust is also obviously good friends with romano. LOLZ

Dude, I hated Romano's guts because of his obsession with a certain "failed" businessman. But I also recognize his coding ability which is a lot more than the other "copy and paste" devs.
