Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

As I see it, theres two options... You just mentioned the best one - and the one that'll get you in for whatever amount of money you have at your disposal..

The 2nd one is for the guys with a lot of cash. Buy in hard in asics with the best $/ghs ratio and/or w/ghs ratio. With a perdicted ROI date (if you can get gear at a price that gives you one) and make as much coin in profits as possible afterwards.. - then, offload your gear when its not viable at your power costs anymore.. maybe, somewhere in the world it is for someone whos willing to bet on coins gaining value..

Anyone know of any online cable management classes? Smiley

That is some amazing mining porn..... That is just purely outstanding! Hope it all goes well for you! You definitely have a lot of time and money invested into this! Good luck bro!

150.0Th = 85 000$ a month, 50 boxes x 12k$ = 600 000$ (need more than 6 month to ROI) at 1% diff. jump he lose 840$ at 10% 8400$ every 2 weeks. This is not mining porn but mining bukake Smiley

Don't mine until they die, but mine until your electricity costs more than the income from mining.  At that point it's cheaper to buy the coins than mining.  It's probably not worth it to ship a Jup now anyways.

I count 10 neptunes for 33ish TH/s

5 of those boxes equals one neptune.

Each neptune running at max 3.2 to 3.3 TH/s depending on cooling and die issues

Mining at a small loss may be useful sometimes. For example it you want to mitigate hash-power concentration. Of course mining at a loss makes more sense with negligible power draw, so I doubt the very large hashers would be able to employ that strategy for long.

With my 1 10 Ghash/s blade, Internet connectivity is the dominant cost. Currently, I have 100% of the mining revenue ear-marked for paying power costs. A faster hasher may pay for it's Internet for a few months: doubt it would pay for the hardware cost though.

Two alternative setups for the gigampz boards: you can fit 2 16awg wires per terminal if you need to balance larger loads. I sell both the 6" 18awg splitters and 24" 16awg leads in my signature link

This is what happens when you use adapters with thin wires unable to carry a load. notice this is an 8pin ATX to 6pin PCIe adapter that burnt up under 200w load, probably only a 22awg wire at best. it even melted into a nearby fan wire.

notice the difference between the burnt-out adapter and the 18awg y-splitter I sell. There is also a 16awg tip from the 24" cable visible, which is a little bit thicker again.

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461
No longer a wannabe - now an ASIC owner!

See, that's where mining sickness has clouded your judgement.  It's the VOCs given off by the hardware Smiley .  I can understand running them in winter at a loss for some heat, but not in summer.
