I feel so outmatched.
at home, i have a 5570 that gets 63 MH/s(.063 GH/s) going to the slush pool. i run it when the PC is on. and I'm glad just to be getting that 64mh
at least I'm mining when I can when at school.
"I feel so outmatched." you have no reason to. how many people on earth - out of a population of somewhere around 7 billion - are doing better than you are? two or three thousand? i note that you can probably get $50 bucks for your 5570, and pick up a 5770 for an additional 60-70 dollars or so. that would triple your hash rate. 40ish BTC/mo in slush's pool. go for it. you're a student: it's not like you have to eat or anything... And now my 200 mh/s gets a grand total! 0.0000001/day Damn.

Pictures of my "mining-rig". Not as big as yours but..... I see you have the Corsair 750M for 2 S3. I do have the Corsair CX600M with 2 PCI-e (on 1 cable) for 1 S3. Question: Are your cables "hot" ?? I noticed that mine get pretty warm just with 1 S3 hooked up to it. NO OC! Just wondering ... Nope they are OK, but I have them also without oc just default frequency. I don't want to buy new PSUs Hmmm ... So why are mine "hot" ?? ... Wired ... Well, I ordered an 8 Pin to 6 Pin connector. It may help. We'll see. Thanks yes. along the lines of what lightfoot said. each conductor(wire) is rated for so much current and wattage without warming noticeably. as you draw more than that they warm and the interaction Lightfoot mentioned starts to exponentiate. the 8 pin to 6 pin will help. what type did you get though? i think the 8 pin youre thinking of is an EPS connector not pci-e which has a different pinout.

Thanks i had the same issue. 1 s3 on corsair 600--cables were super hot. i swapped it out for a 1000w platinum antec--problem solved.

I'm guessing from the layout of the neptune cubes that you've removed the display and are running 6 cubes per controller ? OT: Knowing KNC they were probably going to ship that way, but they found the display was cheaper than the cube and they could overclock the crap out of them with only 5 to deliver the bare minimum.
