BFL 60GH Single in mineral oil.
Mineral oil will siphon itself though plastics and insulation of wiring so be careful. I had found mine that ran for a few months had oil pulled more than 2 meters through a 3m USB cable. Even uphill. It'll make a mess, increase fire hazard, and make the cables firm (they may snap or insulation will flake off if you bend them). Remove the oil from boards by first letting it drip, then immerse in mineral turpentine or shellite (other names: light petroleum distillates / white spirits / hexane). If you used mineral turpentine (which has a lingering smell) you can remove this by then immersing it in undiluted methylated spirits and fan drying for several hours / overnight. (And hope during all this that those electrolytic cap cans are 100% sealed). tl;dr - I would not go down this path again. I am using technical grade mineral oil. There is no smell. After I pulled out the card I just washed it off with soap and water and let it dry. My hands are as supple as butter today. Novec is a lot less messy but it is too expensive. What about submerging in distilled water? Would that remove heat faster than mineral oil?

LOL do it, I always love jackass movie, but reality ones are the best. distilled water may be non (or close to non) conductive, but it will quickly become conductive as impurities leech into it.

Probably would, I'd be interested in discussing the fluid dynamics with a boiler engineer. On a side note, while BFL is in an odd place I am offering to fix broken Monarchs for free. Pass the word on (yes, I'll even fix that blown up single, you probably just shorted a chip on one side). Details here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=759398.msg8948417#msg8948417

a man either brave? or looking for a reason to get a new job..... well played well played in my humble opinion you should just take a miner and put it inside one of those desktop air filter units something like this http://www.amazon.com/Holmes-HEPA-Desktop-Purifier-HAP242-UC/dp/B0000DK35B/ref=lp_3737421_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1411462582&sr=1-1loud as hell maybe...heck you prob could even leave the filter in....gut another vent in back etc (now I prob did just get someone fired in the future) also someone back in 2013 found a way to put a BFL 5 gh jally (he did get one ...or the first and prob roi'd on it) found room in his office DESKTOP CASE had pics etc....don't have the link heh I have five BFL 5Gh also. But they are retired, 'cause I can't stand the noise from those little black boxes. So I made my boards with bitfury. I populated 60 bitfury per board, and that was powered by 12V. And more, I chose a old-fashion CPU heatsink with quite fan on that. such that, no more noise are there... The goal of my desgin was to have them under my desk in office, and have them to increase my salary...

LOL do it, I always love jackass movie, but reality ones are the best. distilled water may be non (or close to non) conductive, but it will quickly become conductive as impurities leech into it. This is correct, deionized water has very high affinity for any impurities, partly because water is such a good solvent. It will leach from solid metals, and pull CO2 from the air and become conductive again quickly. There are some high voltage systems that use deionized water as a insulator and to remove heat, eg some XPS instruments use this setup (and far-fetched projects like Sandia's Z-Machine). However, they have a deionization system that automatically turns on periodically to polish the water, but these are extremely expensive: it'd cost more to setup these than a few mining boxes.

Love the flat black look of the case. I'm guessing you'd need to flip the S3s over to hide the cables amy recommendations on a case that can fit 3 plus a PSU off the shelf?

I noticed 3 °C
Depending on the ambient temperature this may bring some noise by causing the fans to throttle.
