I am still trying to wrap my head around POS. So the most we can earn is 5.5% on our holdings? No matter how often the wallet is open and staking?

In the works. Matthew Langdon is currently working on exactly this and trading from the online wallet, plus a plethora of other tasks.

The new wallet is working well. If on the next update you added the ability to keep a minimum block size after staking as they do with HYP it would be very convenient.
We will take a look at HYP to see the option you speak of. EDIT: Could you please send us a link to specifics for the feature you are talking about, many thanks (save us some time). https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=678849.msg9677564;topicseen#msg9677564It's called the "setstakesplitthreshold" command in the debug menu.

We thought everyone would love to know that we have just hit the 90% mark of PoW/PoS
We are on Block 118442 as of 13:12 London time.
131400 Blocks of PoW, 1% of those blocks = 1314 blocks
118442 blocks divided by 1314 blocks = 90.13850837138508
Roughly 10 more days of normal mining remains.
Get those workers started.

We were doing ok at one point, I looked 2 or 3 days go and we were down to zero votes, im not even convinced he wants to add another coin, I mean, how long has the voting been going on now, just another spam type technique to bring attention to his site Unless another coin was added and he started the vote again

Hi SterlingCoin, I'm terribly sorry but I mistakenly removed SterlingCoin from our poll. I made a post about it in our thread a few days ago. It had 23 votes at the time. I added it back right away but the vote count was reset to zero. Please vote for it again if you're interested in betting with SterlingCoins on sports, horse racing, dice and poker. Please accept my apologies for this error.

Darkcoin got added to DirectBet thanks to the poll. It got 177 votes in a few days. After adding it, we removed it from the poll but did not reset the vote count. Monero also received a lot of votes but we were unable to add it as of yet for reasons that are not in our control. When does the vote finish?
We have not set a deadline. We will probably keep the poll open for awhile. We will integrate the most requested altcoins and remove them from the poll, just like we did with Darkcoin.

How many coins will be added from the vote? I would use DirectBet to vote on Premiership and Championship football matches i.e. every match of West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion.

I agree that you should definitely be selective because of risk and cost, Look at things such as volume and liquidity. A poll just identifies coins with the most shill accounts, your decision should be an economics based one.
