Getting sick and tired of low payout for the devs v2 pool. My wallet shows I have forged 12 Blocks and yet I only have 78,000 coins to show for it mining with the pool.

How the hell did I manage to find 6 blocks in 3 days with 3 blocks found in the space of 8 hours on the 23rd? with only 7200 GB!

I think the poster earlier encouraging us to just solo mine is right - the difference in payout is damning.

That is extremely lucky to get 6 blocks in 3 days with 7200GB. The calculator shows that 7200GB wouldn't be expected to get 1 block even every 2 days.

The thing about pools is you're trying to lower your variance, which will bring you closer to what the calculator says, so your luck is not reflected very much. It may be annoying when you could have gotten much more soloing, but you just as easily could have gotten nothing for the whole week. If you look at those numbers with that extreme case stripped off(6 blocks, and ~66000 coins), that's not far off.

If you want finding the block to be reflected more in your payouts, you might prefer uray style pools, which weight shares differently.

Believe me, there are times where you find nothing in a whole week and that sucks much more than
the pool payouts.

Yesterday i got 1000burst in 2h pool, today i got 1500burst in 24h, jup that sucks, but not as much as nothing for
a couple of days or possibly longer.

I have a question, is it normal, that i dont get deadlines a few minutes after a block was found, only generate some ~2min. after a new block.
Actual difficulty 8000 on cryptomining.farm wtf?

No.  miner read 0% files for ~5 minutes, you showed the path to the files?
Or your files name does not match their size.

how do you fix an incomplete plotfiles?

There's really no fixing them, but renaming them will cause the error to go away when mining.  Figure out the exact size of the file in KB and divide it by 256, that will be the number of nonces total in that file.  From there, just rename the file as if you meant to plot it that many nonces out.  For instance, if your run_generate file was something like 2323828318381 800000 800000 4000 4, and your plot file was 96,710,912KB you would rename it  2323828318381 800000 377777 4000 4 because 96,710,912 divided by 256 = 377,777

Code:
Walet reported no deadline.
229 MB read/917 GB total/no deadline

Any idea what might be causing this? and how to fix it?  Roll Eyes

I'm mining with 6TB by the way.

Agree that solo mining can become frustrating, i am now at 10TB and have been building all week from about 6TB to begin with. Still, no blocks at all since sep-20, so i am starting coming into the 5th day with nothing going on. My 6TB already had hit 3 blocks before that, so at least i have *some* burst.

Anyway, i plan to continue solo mining, and plan to have 28TB plotted and mining within a few days.

baseTarget indicates difficulty, the lower the baseTarget the more time it will take for a given amount of TB to hit a block. BT has been betweeen 2,000,000 and 5,000,000 lately

Dev,
you can look at this problem memory leak on windows?
I'm not an isolated case and it is very strange that this problem happens to some and not to others.
The garbage collector java would it not an issue ?
I also doubt that those who encounter the problem have made their plot with what? Would it not due to Gpu Plotter?
Thanks

@Blago

What does it mean?

Your deadline is larger than it should be.
Send deadline: 21630
Server's deadline: 51793
file: 12607675745205824184_14600018_800000_4000

in my opinion... 21630 is < 51793... where is my mistake? Smiley
