It's cool to see that almost every single new block has a transaction in it now

Hello, and attention all miners of burstpool.ddns.net

Please remember that those who were mining before this announcement https://burstforum.com/index.php?threads/the-big-announcement.149/ get first choice for shares. In a few days we will be making them available to all, so please send your 1k (or less) burst to BURST-T7BK-USTG-KVKC-D2RDL and you will be sent 10 shares in the pool.

NOTE: Max 10 shares per person mining on the pool pre-announcement. Also, currently only available to those who were mining on the pool pre-announcement. If you are interested and weren't mining on the pool pre-announcement, place a bid order and wish that someone who was mining pre-announcement sells to you, or just wait till we make shares public.

--Irotniga

ermm...I used the "buy asset" page from the wallet, but my order is not filled yet. do I need to cancel that somewhere?

You must send 1k burst to asset account, not place buy order atm

put some hashpower towards your pool today, when can new miners get assets as well?

+

Still needing some miners on http://burstpool.ddns.net
Any hash rate. You won't regret it.

just pointed some hashpower towards your pool, but you should correct your http://burstpool.ddns.net/howto.html
the pool URL in [ ---- for dcct linux miner ---- ] is wrong, took me some time to figure out why miner won't connect  Undecided

i broke my hdd. all money lost

lol why? your money are on your wallet, not on the hd, you should've lost the plots only

..Maybe because an hard drive is not free!? If he has gained some money but he needs to rebuy an hard drive it's not profit!

And it's not the first broken hard drive I've heard!

People, just so with the talk about PRICE. Rather spend your time improving burst. If you do, then price will follow. It's that simple.

Cryptocurrency is like an OTC penny stock.  If you get excited about a mere 80% price fluctuation on limited volume, you may have the wrong temperament for trading it. Smiley

i think this round of price raise is more sustainable than the previous round because previous round mining were too easy and difficulties were much lower. Current mining seems hard judging by a number of people reported low payout

Both doge94 & paradigmflux need to check their respective pools...

@paradigmflux, I haven't seen a payout in several days now... Looks like several people are getting fed up with it as well, as there is almost no hashing power on your pool anymore. What's the deal?
...would be really nice if Pool devs would chime in.
Both pools are still having issues.

They must be unique plots, NOT all starting from 0 (otherwise you are wasting space).
They don't necessarily have to be sequential, just not overlapping.

Doh!  I didn't even think of that...so I have quite a few hard drives on several machines all mining  Each HD I started at 0.  So I suppose I need to go back and replot with each one?  Any other solution??

What is this "Bitcoin" of which you speak???

Unfortunately, no. you will have to re-plot them.

You can paste you plot names into this site and it will tell you if they overlap:

Thanks for clarifying this.  I have spent like 40 hours setting up miners in the last week and it seems like every single day I learn something that sets me back 10 steps.  Honestly, I really like Burstcoin and I think this is going places.  But jeez it is hard to keep up and get everything in line initially.  I think this all needs to be resolved before this coin can really take off. On a plus side, I have learned a lot about how it works in the time spent.

I am going to be writing a tutorial soon with all the info I have learned.  Seems like documentation for a full circle mining solution is limited.  Especially when you start to talk having multiple miners.  Stay tuned...!

U choose to make your life difficult. There is a very easy and profitable way to get burst than mining it.

1. Sell ur HDD that u intend to use it for mining

2. Use the money to buy BTC (Low price now)

3. Use the BTC to buy burst

4. Huh?

5. Profit

U get much more burst buying instead of mining.

At price of 280 , 1 BTC can get u about 360,000 burst.

1 BTC is $400,

$400 can get about 12 TB.

1 TB get u about 710 burst, ok lets pump it up , make it 800 burst.

12 TB will get u 9,600 burst per day.  (https://bchain.info/BURST/tools/calculator)

In order to get 360,000 burst, u will need about 37.5 days. (that is if difficulty don't raise and u are lucky to get 800 burst per TB per day)

Not to mention the hours u need to spend setting up mining and monitoring it daily.

Buying is even more profitable when price goes below 200. At price of 140 , u will need more than 70 days to get equal amount of burst.
