Hi, I think that your gpuplot use your CPU..

get platform id with this command ->  gpuPlotGenerator list platforms

if you get two platform id , maybe 0 is your CPU and 1 you GPU
so you must set the command as --> F:\>gpuplotGenerator.exe generate 1 0 f:\plots xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 0 4000000 2048 128 512

Platforms number: 1
----
Id:       0

Max global memory size:  2048 MB
Max local memory size:   32 KB
Max work group size:     1024

I'm using 0 0 so its trying to use the GPU but doesn't work.

ok, 0 0 is correct but try with this
--> F:\>gpuplotGenerator.exe generate 0 0 f:\plots xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 0 4000000 1024 128 512

(down 2048 to 1024 as max memory card, 128 can be set to 256 as max work group size)

if not work, try to change 512 from 1 to 8160

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

632 pages on this ANN, and the majority of the content is about pool problems, mining issues, and wallet issues.

Do people not understand that this is one of the first places that investors go to find out information about the coin they're thinking of investing in? Literally HUNDREDS of pages in this ANN shouldn't technically exist here, they should be on the Burst coin forum, under technical issues or something. FFS people, I want this coin to win, and you're scaring all the potential big fish away!! This coin could be beautiful....the perfect wave on a perfect day man.

The first HDD mineable coin, the third coin to ever offer mining on a different piece of hardware. The only other 2 I know of is Bitcoin and Litecoin, CPU and GPU mining. You guys have something extraordinary here. Be extraordinary!! And for the love of God, or whichever deity you may worship, PLEASE stop scaring the damn fish away!!

Agreed - BUT its the FIRST place people come to when thinking about investing in a coin

Agreed.

A look at the 600+ pages of this thread is enough to scare any investor away. It simply looks like a terrible coin to invest in and thats down to the bloated mining content on this thread.

So miners - have a think about what pages and pages of issues are doing to the potential of this coin.
You need investors!!

Threads number wrong , try with 64 or 128 or 256

Also on my GTX570 use low memory than max value onboard, but work fine ... 8500 nonces/minutes
Can be that some memory are reserved for graphics windows ....

on my card 64 Threads with 2000 hash work fine so try this
gpuplotGenerator.exe generate 0 0 f:\plots 3981507563223149048 0 4000000 1024 64 2000

This coin is truly a new concept which has a lot of support. I as well as many others do however realize the original thread is kind of all over the place. With this being said, please come an join our community at https://burstforum.com/ , the information is a lot more organized and there is a lot of support. By no means am I taking anything away from this thread, but the forums are a huge help as well.

Maybe we could change the title from Burst | Efficient POC Mining   to   Burst | Efficient HDD Mining? Make it easier to understand.

I need some insight on the mining process.
I am currently on Uray's pool. Started mining this morning with a balance of 21 Burst. Mined for 4ish hours, had 40+ shares, found a block and only gained 1 Burst.
What am I missing here? I have 1.75 TB in plots which should be around 40/hour per the calculator.

Edit: At block 18303 I went from a balance of 22 to 7 after finding block 18302.

I think what needs to be done first and foremost is a more user-friendly wallet and miner. People are having ENTIRELY too many problems with both. NO amount of features, or services, or promotions, or any kind of PR, are going to help this coin if setting up the mining is too difficult or if too many people can't get their damn wallet to work properly. And for the love of God, or whichever deity you may worship, PLEASE stop scaring the damn fish away!! lol Thank you for your time, and happy trading everyone! Shadey out. Cheesy

We have something in development. We have a beta release, but we're almost ready to release the new better version that works with pool, etc.

try also with gpuplotGenerator.exe generate 0 0 f:\plots 3981507563223149048 0 4000000 1024 64 2000

however, I think is better made small files of 100 Gb max, so try to reduce also 4 000 000 to 4 000 00

Uray,

no news about EU pool for burst?

yeah I am still busy making https://burstcoin.io run first

its a SSL secured web wallet, so i dont need to use local wallet jumping & sync between laptop and desktop, and I can access my wallet anywhere, I don't know if using SSL is secure enough for web based wallet, but I personally using this day to day. that site now working if you want to use it, but I can't guarantee for security issue, need to consult to nxt-er first if it ok to use on web

as for EU pool, i am not really sure its good to time to expand mining pool, just look at pool profitability it keep declining, and miners participation is more or less constant, we need to improve burst value first.

so what I planned is :
1. build mining revenue sharing on current pool, so you can sell your harddrive capacity as an asset, and my pool will split your mining revenue proportionally to asset holder, by selling an mining asset you don't need to accept burst as payment, you can accept bitcoin or fiat and then you give him burst asset for mining, so its easier if there are someone who want to invest in burst mining without any hashle to plot and configure miner
2. maybe developing desktop thin client is great, you dont need to sync blockchain, you dont need to run daemon and go to browser, it just like desktop wallet, just click and done, we can also incorporate miners and ploter inside that desktop wallet
