The XMR volume on polo is currently 50K....that is (by my rough calculation) about three times more than the sum of the volume of all the other coins combined.

Oh, looking back at those .001 days... wish I had loaded up (and held)...
Price does not matter. The number of XMR matters I wrote a few pages ago that there is only ~100 seats available in the 10,000 XMR club, and ~1,000 seats in the 1,000 XMR club. This is world wide. Of course it's much more exclusive to have 10k instead of 1k, but both are very good compared to having none. Seling out completely is the thing people lament with Bitcoin. Fair enough point. I just think back to when I had 5,000 XMR but wanted to lower my risk relative to my few BTC! lol No worries, still can't complain. I have quite a few more XMR than BTC. A big thank you to you and the others "in the know" here who have guided us till this day. Nice to see her finally break .01. Guys - Don't forget if you got a few spare XMR to donate a few to the team...

When I was first aware of XMR before it was even listed on Polo (or was called Monero), one of the people who got me into it along with noticing Aminorex and Risto's enthusiasm, was KFR.
Anyone know what happened? Last post on KFR's profile here was 2015?
It's a shame to see early adopters not be here to see the ATH - I think KFR had it from OTC sales before Poloniex listed it.

I just woke up (I slept late). What happened? So we are going now towards parity with btc and beyond? Aside with Etherium, Monero has joined in the club of good and valuable coins by breaking the initial ATH price from the times of early days. I watched this all happen in real time so I didn't get to experience this. Please indulge me. What did it feel like to wake up and see that? It happened during night un Europe. I went to sleep at ~0.0085, breakout was annouced but unconfirmed. So i moved my orders into 0.0099-0.0120 (2% of my stash) When i woke up, price was above 0.0120 and 6 new pages on this thread. How do i feel this morning? I'm very fine I'm unable to buy back but no matter, it's a nice profit (and it's important to take profit when it's possible) and the remaining 98% of my stash is healty as never. The sun is shinning! Thank you for giving a nice entry point to new bagholders. My coins may never be for sale (might be buying gold directly when the price rises). My portfolio is in well position. If bitcoin goes to 10 000 + usd I have enough of btc, if Monero goes to 1000+ usd, I have also Moneros. If both btc and xmr fails to grow, I still have my rental units + 2 jobs I am satisfied with and quite nice monthly surplus income. Selling Moneros just causes more taxes to pay so better just hold and sell in a stingy manner if ever. I might actually just buy some odd XMR for the sake of support (not to grow my stash). I think the current level of 0.012-0.013 is excellent accumulation zone still. There is plenty of room to grow, only 6 million coins will be mined before minimum block reward will hit (when the minimum block reward hits Monero has a decent chance to become worth of 100 000 - 1000 000 millions of dollars). So selling now is like giving free money to the new upper class. We need to appreciate everybody who decide to sell now before the DNM will start sucking Moneros from markets. Thank you, sellers! you decided never to sold yours coins, you're lucky you. i'm not in your position (= i haven't earned enough money to be secure all the rest of my life) when i sold a few moneros, if i can't buy back lower, it's still a good deal. my average of purchase is around 0.0009 (i'm in monero for some time now, i was a long time in red too ) at actual price i made more than x10 profit. My initial investment is slowly repaid. If monero goes to +1000$, i still got a good stock, if it goes to 0$, i will not lose money (remenber rule number one: before make money, try to not lose money!) the next leg up, i will sell another % of my stash but i promise you when i get rich, i'll stop selling too cheap!

Well, I have promised for myself to buy some gold coins from a legit gold dealer if the price of XMR hits 100 + usd. That will be my "treat". After all, a human being do not need much extra cash. Just the amount you need for buying a house + food and other basic necessities. All the rest is extra blessing IMO. I think you might be even in better position than me (I assume my average buying price is somewhere around 0.002-0.003 btc), and I do not have any excess amounts of Moneros but enough to become very wealthy if this boy starts a rock'n'roll (in my opinion it hasn't even started yet). It is very good position in general to sell with 10 X profits.

Those walls are very welcome. I hope the wall stays there supporting the price as long as there might be some people willing to sell their coins.

Maybe he went the way of Chartbuddy after the BTC WallObserver protest exodus. I will go look there... Thanks

I think breaking the market cap of Dark coin will be a remarkable event. I hope it happens for ever and stays like that. That is the exact moment when we can finally proclaim the victory and become the best anon. coin.
The market cap has nothing to do with the level of privacy. If financial privacy (and fungibility) matter to you, you don't use a transparent blockchain. Never mind, the above (regarding 'breaking the market cap') is not relevant anymore .

Just an amazing amount of money to see "behind" (we don't really know the intentions) Monero. Sure, we have seen that with the bigger alts, but a thing to see here with XMR. Wonder where she is at the end of the year...

to be fully honest, my average is lower than you but my stash is tinier too! i'm not in the 10k range, only on the few k range (i don't complain, i'm happy with it) and it's easier to lowerer your average buy on smaller amount

Please remember, that the last ATH brought a quite huge drop along Thank you for your concern, but i think we are ready for it (if it comes). Personally I have ladder buys all the way down, any drop will be fed upon with relish. I let go of nearly 20% of my stash on this last leg up. Now I am concerned I've sold too much and need to get back to my target level of XMR in time for the next order of magnitude jump.

Please remember, that the last ATH brought a quite huge drop along Yes I'm just waiting for the tip to place some short orders. This pump is crazy and I can not believe it will be able to hold the new price and highs as long as Ethereum does. I'm sure we will see some bigger correction.Question is when the market will shift? Right now it looks like there's still some room for improvement.
