Well, I sure am glad I stocked up a bit more that usual, because we are already at 30$+ and climbing fast. I guess we were due for a pump anyway DASH, Ethereum, and LiteCoin got theirs.

Is this the chance to get back some of the coins that were robbed from me in the past by exit scam. As usual I find myself too scared to flip in and out. I'm just like a rabbit in the headlights, I keep looking but I am not moving!

Hi all, Great to see another ATH. I'm not looking to sell right now, but I am looking for information/advice on direct XMR to fiat conversion for large sums.
It seems that services include Kraken, Bitfinex, and maybe Bitsquare.
Does anyone have any experience using these services? KYC issues? Withdrawal limits? Security? Privacy? Best, Q
No Bitfinex they have closed fiat withdrawals for some time now. Best is Kraken, but ofcourse you will have no anonimity there. Anybody care to speculate guess how high we'll go?
We will go to $500 and beyond, but with lost of stops in the meantime's.

This really is an interesting situation... I cannot come up with a really good analysis really. I've seen that situation before, and I can't figure it out either. All I can say is that I've seen it a handful of times and that the price is still on an upward trend, so I don't sweat it...although I definitely don't get it...maybe it's the only one with real and not inflated value? Of the list Monero is the only with a 'real' distribution (organic), some others like LTC and ETH have some decent distribution but its offset by awful concentration or premine. I would say Monero is the only real coin besides Bitcoin. You know... with there being thousands in BTC volume traded daily. Millions of dollars a day... there is only really one reason the price is resisting the greater trends in an amazing bull market where even known scam coins are growing orders of magnitude in value. Someone is selling. Our bull market is being quietly held down by someone or someones selling. I believe it's that simple. I believe quite a few people have a vested interest in keeping Monero's price low (relative to the insanity that has been going on recently). With so many other coins pumping there is a lot of money to be made short term. If you were a long term Monero believer but also liked to play the short game and had the money to move/hold a market, it would make sense to put downward pressure on Monero while making a killing on the other alts. All that profit is a lot less valuable if Monero rises the same amount. But if Monero can be pressured down it gives a relatively great entry point with all that new influx of cash from the other altcoin bubbles. Ride the pump of other alts, profit, flip it into more monero for the long term. But that only works if monero can be contained.

We're having a pullback now, but it seems to be on decreasing volume.

Not to mention you don't have to be a whale to have this mentality.
During bull markets FOMO is the name of the game and Monero has the reputation of being "not like the other alts" which puts it further outside the FOMO bubble investing mindset. People want to make a quick buck, that's human nature. No one wants to put money into a relatively stable asset (for crypto anyway) when that quick easy profit is staring them in the face elsewhere.
Monero's reputation is great for the real world and long term. But it doesn't exactly scream FOMO during a bull market where anything and everything is pumping.

This has been the reasoning I have been using for some months, but the longer we go this direction the more pressure this would be under IMHO. The reason I have been becoming more and more astonished recently is so much money is being moved around in the other alts, some of which are utter garbage and all but the unwashed few know it. Eventually that money is going to need to come back to BTC or one of the few true and cryptologically sound alts, and specifically ones that offer value for other reasons. XMR offers exactly the type of functionality that people who make a killing off the ALT bull run would want to leverage in the aftermath of their spoils. I would expectr a delayed, but even greater bull run in XMR once the one in the rest of altlandia is over... but then does the alt crash aim that money at BTC or USD first? Very interesting time, I say again. Lot's of fortunes will be made... ...and lost.

Monero is a sleeping dragon. It will go up in most unexpected time. Monero will never act like other alts. Look at monero against USDT now: https://poloniex.com/exchange#usdt_btcAll are red but giant xmr is green

Monero is a sleeping dragon...
LOL, and occasionally -- as apparently happened today -- the dragon has a little dream and breathes a little fire, while still asleep! Imagine what will happen when our dragon actually fully WAKES UP!!!

This really is an interesting situation... I cannot come up with a really good analysis really. Perhaps there is no analysis. Just pump kids pumping their coins. Nothing to analyze about that.

Or on the flip side someone wants to keep the price down below the ATH to form an ascending triangle thus the blow off will be that more epic. The more pressure builds in sideways movement the higher the pop will go IMO.
