More that I don't see it as impossible. I have little success predicting what Korea will do, but a ~50% pump over a week seems unremarkable, given the volatility in BTC and XMR lately. Besides, Johnny Mnemonic said so.
I'm never wrong. Jokes aside, it would certainly be "out of character" if XMR's price didn't hit $425 mid month, so I'm still expecting that to happen. 5X is the law. Well it's got some work to do. Giddy-up there!

when it was pumped to 5 usd 1 year ago. I opened a thread on local and I said xmr will reach 50 usd in future. No one believe me but know I don't believe it is passed my estimation 5-6x. The best thing buying and closing the wallet for one year too. Most of coins will go to the moon next year and xmr will reach more than now.

this regard to all promising coins or only monero? I do not the first time meet the information that never do not need to sell coins immediately after the completion of ico, because a year their price almost doubled.

LTC dont looks like a pump IMHO, waiting it 450 in a few days, if nothing will happen with BTC.

LTC looks like the vehicle to move funds around atm with the ongoing mempool issues / fees in btc.

Monero have a nice future imo since its probably the only real privacy coin out there and not those zero protocol coins. They even brought on board dev who used to work in bitcore to work on anonymity part and now you can see the results of that move ;DYeah monero is probably mostly used for dark web afairs and for moving hacked funds but that doesnt change the fact that monero is a great coin and that we will probably see it going over 600$

Dollar cost averaging saves a lot of work and reduces risk. Of course you will always be sad because you didn't shift your whole position into the fastest-rising crypto of the moment, at millisecond granularity, with zero slippage and fees, for a compounding gain of about 200% per diem, so maybe just give up now and get it over with.
There is a lot of rabid extremism about. And, I suppose, I resemble that remark.
Not a lot of people here would be as candidly open as you about themselves. I think almost everyone on this forum has some level of arrogance, minus the shills and bounty hunters. It seems profits in dollar can never make people happy in crypto, they just want to be whales in crypto, giving up good positions for the promise of compounding gains. Monero have a nice future imo since its probably the only real privacy coin out there and not those zero protocol coins. They even brought on board dev who used to work in bitcore to work on anonymity part and now you can see the results of that move ;DYeah monero is probably mostly used for dark web afairs and for moving hacked funds but that doesnt change the fact that monero is a great coin and that we will probably see it going over 600$
Also astute. Developers are actually hard to come by. Good ones, that is. The mass majority of alt projects actually do not have competent devs, and it really shows when half-baked upgrades run into trouble. Monero has solid architecture and a recognized niche.

Does anyone have any advice on the best way to sell some Monero? I've been holding since 2015 and I'd like to take some profits. I'm US based.
What I want is to sell about $100,000 over the next week or so. How do others here do it? I have accounts at Coinbase and Kraken.
Kraken is nonfunctioning at the moment. People are having a hard time getting money out. The site is useless. I could go XMR ->Shapeshift ->LTC -> Coinbase ->USD, I suppose, but one can only sell small amounts at a time through shapeshift. Doing it this way would involve multiple transactions.
Is there a better way? Faster? Cheaper? What do you guys/gals do?
Thanks.

I heard quite recently that Kraken had improved... Did you try today? Despite their inadequacies, if you are not in a panic, that's probably simplest. Or set up as a Globee vendor, and pay yourself in XMR->$

Or set up as a Globee vendor, and pay yourself in XMR->$ Is that a thing?! It sounds like a distinct possibility... I haven't tried kraken yet today. I've been trying to get some USD out of there into my bank account for almost two weeks and I'm about to give up and simply buy LTC and sell it on Coinbase. I know they are due to have an upgrade but I haven't seen it happen yet. It is, on the face of it, the simplest way to do it, but if the damn thing isn't working then I have to look elsewhere. Thanks for the input. Edit: kraken still a shit show.

Or set up as a Globee vendor, and pay yourself in XMR->$ Kraken has NOT improved, it's still a b*tt-website. But with patience, it does work. Don't click on too much stuff, just log in, go to XMR>USD and put in your sell order. If the page doesn't load, then F5. If it says that your order didn't succeed or something like that, F5 and do it again. If it says that your order MIGHT have not succeeded, then wait 10 minutes because sometimes it will go through (you will see it appear at the bottom of that same page). If it still doesn't, ctrl-F5 and try again. And be patient, I put in a dozen orders this week, but it might have taken me 4-6 hours in total. Try not to smash your computer ;-)

There's also xmr.to it takes a cut of like half a percent or something. Right now the limit is 9.391 btc, so at least you don't have to make a bunch of transactions.
P.S. Is there a DDOS attack on bitcointalk? It's abysmally slow.

Oh wow that's a higher limit than I recall... It's an option, then.
