Any major negative political decision can have only a short-term negative impact on price; nothing more. Monero has gone too far (capable dev team, devoted community, real-world use, tradition) to be stopped by greedy, incompetent bureaucrats...
What can they actually do - ban it from EU based exchanges.? And there are decentralized exchanges on the horizon...

I dont believe European commission will ever give such directive to its members.  In more autocratic countries where that will happen I agree with bitebits. Price will increase there since it will be harder to get.

Do you really believe that Apple wants for Huawei to know how much they pay their suppliers and how much they pay their researchers and engineers.  Do you really believe that governments wants to reveal their spies they have in other countries and in companies by using transparent ledger cryptocurrencies.   Do you really believe any police or court system will support that wealth of people is known just to anyone. Should that not put those people way more in danger and risk of being robbed?


This "opaque ledger crypto currencies will be baned" has to stop. Because it will not happen.  I mean it can happen at some part of worlds. Also there will be some part of communities that will want that to happen. But on wide scale this will not happen because world, society and economy need opaque ledger crypto currencies!
