Andreas Antonopoulos talks about Monero and its strong privacy compared to Bitcoin. First time getting an endorsement from Andreas? https://twitter.com/monero_tv/status/1324615860439281665

We are nearly low enough to pick up my rogue bitcoin. Up or down from here?
Lately it was. Bitcoin up Monero down( in BTC). Bitcoin down, Monero stable. Bitcoin stable, Monero up. Long term Bitcoin going up makes more space for Monero to grow in the future. Oh also for the first time in history Monero had 3 days in a row more transactions then BHC. And at some point in last 24h Monero had 3114 transactions an hour. That is for sure absolute record. Few days ago I said we might not see days with less then 20k transactions a day next year. Maybe that will happen already in December.

How many times have we seen Monero sort of decoupled from the alts? It ran up on it's own a couple weeks back, and now is not joining in on the alt rebound.
Seems like this happens more often to Monero than others... then again it's a non-scientific subjective observation.
I am assuming there is a lot of sell pressure into which the alt rally is pushing?

Monere is decoupled from shitcoins and that is backed by science and math.

We are nearly low enough to pick up my rogue bitcoin. Up or down from here? Down before up, if BTC resumes rocket mode. If BTC hangs out or drifts /drops down, I think up down then up. Either way, I'm not sure we're done with the down part. Hang on Globb0, I think you still can get it back. Maybe even with a cherry on top Do not take my wild conjecture as prescience

We are nearly low enough to pick up my rogue bitcoin. Up or down from here? I strongly believe that we will touch low 0,007 maybe even high 0,006, go sideways for a few weeks and then we are starting to gain massively towards BTCIt is nice to see, that we are still going sideways in $ and €, that is a very good sign

So what about RandomX ? anything else if or when or if they have already taken over (they, the MACHINES...)? Still no torrent link to share? It would increase safety and distribution . I am still curious if 0.3 is too much or not... will see later . edit : I had to use the search function to find this post, what is going on? where have you all moved, to some kind of decentralized and secure forum?

When the people of the world will get that covid was intentionally released to frame china, steal the election from trump, assure massive bail outs and foster the forced vaccination agendas...they will forget, like 911, wmds in irak, uss liberty or pedogate.

There is currently no evidence of RandomX failing in regards to continuing to be ASIC resistant.
We have seen a couple brief spikes that have a lot of evidence of being cloud computing coming online for brief periods, but even this supports the idea that XMR is effectively C/GPU friendly only now. The closest thing to an ASIC is the high end AMD CPUs. If ASICs came into play we would see a ramp up that would go very high and remain there for as long as possible. It would be a very costly endeavor to (again) make XMR ASICS and the manufacturers are incentivized to get that cost out as fast as possible.

With release of Ryzen 5000 series, the network hashrate will probably increase gradually.

If I recall correctly, Zen 3 architecture should bring some 20% increase on the average in performance compared to Zen 2. Looks like this does not translate to RandomX performance for now. Thanks for the link, I was about to pull the trigger on a new CPU.

The way things are going price-wise it looks like there are lots more sellers than buyers. It's sinking rather fast while the rise to 11 was quick, but required quite a bit more volume. Trying to work out what this means.
Do we think this is related to the interesting attack being shoveled at XMR just recently complete with some fairly strong trolling?

I would think the main reason is the bitcoin bull is in the china shop.

[...] i think i can buy back in at 0,0090-0,0088 levels [...]
Keep lowering that bar and one day you will be out of Moneros. Through the years I have seen many come and go on the WO trying to be smart. The world needs easy to use, decentralized, actively developed and carefully tested financial privacy. There is currently, still, only one fulfilling those requirements (think about that for a second with the thousands of other attempts out there). It is just that people with money, most living in first world countries, think they don't need privacy. They are OK their transactions are broadcasted to the world for anyone to review, forever. That is just being naive to say the least. It requires only one external event though to make a 180 degrees turn. Thinking that Monero, as the private payment layer of Bitcoin, is not even 1% of its value is short term thinking. Monero's price will have its day in the sun again, and in the meanwhile it is maturing and improving each and every day. In about 1.5 years there are only new tail emission coins available, the rest needs to come from hodlers exiting. Don't be impatient or greedy while Monero's future is already so clear today.

I honestly do not get your point in this perspective, but the bar is lowering by itslef, so there is nothing wrong in selling monero and buying back in. If you did not do so, fine for me, but please don´t try to educate people about the use case in speculation thread

I suppose my prediction of low 0,006 / high 0,005 will be reached by the end of November In march went to 0.0061 and last October went to 0.006. It is very hard to expect to go under that now. Yes, last month was super bad compared to BTC but I guess that was just weak hands that entered Monero few months ago. In general is funny that it all went just as always did. But the rumour, sell the news. At end of summer there were rumours number of transactions will increase. They did, but so so. Then in October actually started increasing a lot and dump happened.

I think .0061 would be very hard to get to, and I would hate to see it that low again. On the other hand, the recent 0.0068X just doesn't feel like a bottom, so I'm awaiting another leg down. All it takes is the next BTC level-up while we hang out in the $11X range like cAPSLOCK forecast. A strong reversal above the 0.0061 range is what I want to see.
