The USD chart looks decent. The BTC chart is disastrous. This is alt coin land currently. It is beginning to look like this Bitcoin Epoch has a chance of being known as the BTC ALT decoupling. Overall I think this is a VERY good thing. But the market is not sophisticated enough to see the value prop of the few alts that have one (I honestly only know of one). I also wonder if the US government (or others) do not have other virtual currencies in their sites. They probably could not destroy ETH (although I am not sure) but ZEC for example it RIPE for an attack by SEC etc. Centralized... taking a cut, etc. They are not as bad as Ripple was, but close. But at the same time, XMR's use case is strengthening before our eyes. And it is as decentralized as possible in the post-bitcoin crypto world. Personally if I was not satisfied with my positions I would see this is an amazing buying opportunity for XMR. The hidden risk/reward here is compelling.

The BTC chart is a tad disappointing, I really thought we'd bottomed at 0063.
0055 is a bit 'ouch', but the fundamentals are still there, it's just it's all about Bitcoin right now. I think, like others perhaps, that it's a great buy right now, but I can't bear to spend BTC just now to take advantage.
As I said previously I think we need to wait until spring to see a decent run again. There were good signs of life in October, we will see them again in Feb/March. As always at times like these, HODL.

They were always crying Hoddle. Why shouldn't we also have our little run of Hoddle. Hold strong!

It is also about Greyscale, XRP and XLM pulling down the alts really hard too. It's beautiful from a maximalist perspective. But as you said the fundamentals are there. We just saw one of the most meaningful things happen for Monero on a fundamental level, and it's crickets all the way around. Even we are yawning about it. But Monero is the only payment source at the worlds largest online crypto only marketplace that is not an exchange/casino. They ONLY ACCEPT MONERO. They have a customer base of a half million, and a third of them are "active" (whatever that means). I mean... this will not ultra-significantly change the usage levels, since it was virtually Monero only already, but this is really a bit of sleeper news. It is a significant shift in the whole virtual currency realm. Have you guys noticed? Monero has the odd penchant for having some really bullish news come during overall market downturns. I kind of wonder if that crazy spike we saw a few weeks ago was insiders thinking they were gonna get in before the pump? I dunno, maybe I am overestimating the impact... Thoughts?

@cAPSLOCK - not sure it was front running, I just think it was good volume and natural price action. Since then it's all been about King Bitcoin - all the alts have suffered. Especially those further down the chart in terms of market cap. Things will inevitably turn around and Monero will be back in the sun before too long. Use case and credibility does count.

Well, some say it looks like 2016. They are right, on BTC:XMR, at least. August 2016 was the last time it was this low. Fill bags.

If this Bitcoin pump gets more hyperbolic, I wonder what are the chances we could see ATL levels of .001 ...

What does 0.100 feel like? About right Way overdue for a Magnitude (or two) Up Event. I don't know how contrived the transaction count is, but it continues to impress. Over 0.06 of BTC, and climbing. Seems reasonable to me that by 10% of BTC transactions, 10% of tx fee, 10% of tx time we should have a price of 10% Happy New Year

Well, would they have just delisted XMR, it would have been bullish: since the volume is rather high, the reason is the anonymous feature which may trigger some regulatory concern. It would underlines the rather good anonymous features of XMR. But I am disapointed they also delisted other not so good anonymous coins...
