I wonder can it be better then it is right now. Earlier today price reach $440 what was highest then ever in last 3 years. And at the same time number of transactions is hitting most transactions ever per day. Hopefully first day with over 30k.
The only thing better will be if it holds its value v/s BTC when BTC rockets again very shortly.

I’d love to have a view from Aminorex.
We are likely to break USD ATH this year. By how much I don’t have a clue, but I think around 800usd is possible.
BTC ATH, not gonna happen tho. Maybe by 2025

So you think BTC has already topped out for this Epoch? I will be very suprised if that is so.. I see it as an edge case, one that balances the "supercycle" edge case on the other extreme... I think the latter is actually MORE likely aside from the over-abundance of bullishness... max pain supports your theory. As to Monero. I see the chance it decouples significantly from bitcoin to be fairly small. But better than most other coins. But that is what it would have to do to fulfil your above scenario... XMR @ 800 with BTC continuing to drop. I think it is more likely that we see more BTC action, and *probably* a XMRBTC pullback with continued hold/rise in XMRUSD. I could see XMR in 4 digits USD EASILY in this scenario...

And I agree that is less likely. I think that is the case for most OG alts too... *maybe* not ETH.

I think the main issue with things like three letter agencies and back doors etc is to do with the cryptographic tools used in the network rather than the codebase. In other words crypto assets rely on things like SHA2 and elliptic curves (asymmetric crypto privatives). And the fear is someone(s) like the NSA might know a vulnerability in one of these privatives which has rendered it, for them, no longer asymmetric. Meaning for the person with the "key to the cypher", so to speak, it will be easy to decode as well as encode which is something we rely on NOT being possible for things like Bitcoin to work at all.
Nearly everyone who really understands these things (not me, lol) seems to think this is a fairly remote chance.
Ok, I get it. The documentary about "Rubikon/Thesaurus" just kind of confirmed this inner voice inside my head saying "never say never". It was just so mind-boggling that they can sell an algorithm with a backdoor to dozens of countries without those countries taking notice although using the systems for decades. You would think it might work for a year, or maybe two, but 20??? I am far from understanding enough to have a sufficiently qualified opinion, so I just go with what the "experts" say and forget what happened in the documentary. Suppressing the inner voice so to say, at least during the Bitcoin bull runs!

Closed source black box cannot easily be audited so you rely on a "trusted setup" in effect, sound familiar?

But still, it boggled my mind because, you know I am not cryptography expert, but I would think that all these international customers the Crypto AG had were not able to detect the backdoor despite having their own best hackers and cryptographers working on it. To someone like me that is indeed mind-boggling. As I said, I wouldn't have been too surprised if nobody noticed for a couple of years, but two decades? All these nations with their own "CIA" couldn't find out that the US and Germany secret services put a backdoor into the algorithm. It is a crazy story and I wouldn't describe myself as naive, especially not when it comes to companies like Microsoft.

I kinda can't wait to see the bus get a little bigger... wonder when that will happen?
This is tricky to answer since everything can be changed when triptych happen at next hard fork. We will have to wait some more time before all will be decided and cast predictions while considering actual numbers. I dont believe Monero could have such growth of transactions to get blocks full before the protocol upgrade will happen. LOL. Never listen to me! Today "bus" start going bigger. From block 2353326 to block 2353452, blocks were full or close to full. That was for over 4 hours and 40 minutes. https://old.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/n4ipfb/if_you_ever_wondered_how_dynamic_block_size_works/As we can see change was not huge. It grows very slow.

https://twitter.com/CryptoKaleo/status/1390364888049008646260k followers twitter account is saying only way further is vertical. Such vertical breakout would probably push price way over $1000. Wonder how long we will have to wait to see it.

I don't see why 8-12k is out of the question this cycle. I shouldn't be disappointed if we stall at $2500-4k, but I might be. A bit. $1000 is going to arrive in a flash, and disappear in the rearview as fast. Where is johnallen to tell us $700 will be the top
