Guess so. Unbelievably Giga is still trying to raise funds...and probably succeeding.

I don't think it is unbelievable, it is to be expected really. Look around in the real world, how savvy businessman and politicians are able to hide the truth from most people with complex schemes, empty promises and fancy words. Then tell me why it would be different with Bitcoin, when the community which uses Bitcoin slowly changes from nerds to the same average people who fell for the lies of the sociopaths who control our everyday lives?

The important and literally life-changing difference will be, when Bitcoin continues to gain traction, that with Bitcoin you and I cannot be made to pay for other peoples mistakes. I think that is great and you should just sit back and watch how financial Darwinism is going to be the next step in our species' evolution.

To all Gigaminers:

Some who have upgraded have not liked the fact that Gigamining payments have stopped. I understand the concern. So, with that said, any upgrades that happen before Friday 2/15/2013 11:59:59 UTC will be included in a special early group of Teraminers. These individuals will have their mining contracts started within hours of the VPS equipment being up and running. Any upgrades after that time will follow the letter of the contract as quoted below.

Quote
2.3    The Commencement Date for the initiation of data processing services contemplated hereunder shall be ten (10) business days following the receipt of specialized processing equipment from an outside vendor.

If you have a pending claim into Quentin and I know about it (you know who you are) and are verified you will be allowed to upgrade and be included within the early group of Teraminers.

If you have not claimed yet, please do.

Best,
James

I am expecting my document to be returned from the FCO soon, it's a slow process.
To send it to the USA will most likely take a week, so people like me are locked out from this deal?

This isn't getting any better Sad

No one mentioned this yet, but from discussions around your earlier post here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=75802.msg1454531#msg1454531) you clarified that ALL teraminers will have their contracts started as soon as the equipment is up and running. Your words: "if it takes 6 hours to get things up and running, the 10 days will not be needed."

The reason you gave for the '10 days' stipulation was to leave yourself some rope in case you run into trouble with the equipment setup, not to punish those gigaminers who do not upgrade before tomorrow. Why the change of heart?

Why the change of heart?

  • I didn't do a good enough job of making sure Gigaminers knew the Gigamining contract would stop when upgrading.
  • Those who have done what I ask should be rewarded for their effort in keeping Gigamining/Teramining going.
  • A large portion of Gigamining has already been claimed.

I have also stated that anyone with a claim in and waiting on Quentin could be included.

So now we are talking about those, who after three months, have still not claimed. I can't force anyone to do anything, I can only reward those who help me.

How many percent of bondholders and how many percent of total bonds are confirmed currently?

James,

I would love to be involved in this but you have failed to respond to my emails after stating you were going to get with Quentian about my claim.  So I am asking here in the forums, for some updates

Thanks,

No upgrade can occur until you have submitted a claim, it is verified and you receive a VPS account.

I'm trying to make some calculation, will my shares and payments cover the affidavit expenses of legal translator, notary fees, apostille fees, mail, unforeseen fees of dull government...
What is currently the total sum that I have for my 27 gigamining bonds/shares/contracts?  Huh

Hi nadrimajstor,

The total back payments due as of Monday for 27 Gigamining contracts is 4.1391 BTC. This does not include what the free upgrade to Teramining would bring.

Hi Giga -

Way back in olden days, I used to track 'dividends' from time to time on GLBSE. Of course, when Nef went nutters, it kinda threw a wrench in the works.

Now that my claim has been processed, I have access to info regarding payments from 2012-10-08 forward.

But this leaves me with a knowledge vacuum. I did not scrupulously record all GLBSE data on a daily basis.  I did not record the last four or so payments before GLBSE went the way of the dodo. Do you have per-share earnings published anywhere for this period?

Anyone with a campaign ad in their signature -- for an organization with which they are not otherwise affiliated -- is automatically deducted credibility points.

I've been convicted of heresy. Convicted by a mere known extortionist. Read my Trust for details.

https://virtualprocessingsolutions.com/

The home page of the new site shows all payment periods along with the number for "per share" amounts and total contracts outstanding.

Hope that helps.

So, its 78 EUR or so. To get your coin back, you need to waste what? 100 EUR?  150 EUR?
You got scammed and this is the fact.  You "signed up" to a contract that got changed to something else and you never had chance to get out (gigavps, insert your favourite glbse blame/excuse here)
Fact is, gigavps stole from you and others like you. Coin stolen will be used to buy gigavps girlfriend a new pair of shoes etc. LOL

This forum has some slimy scammers crawling about but you, gigavps, are the slickest s.o.b of them all.

Truly amazing... he fucks you over and while at it, recommends you ask for seconds. Amazing!

PS! You know what nadrimajstor, do not give that asshole your coin as a present. Spend your EUR on paperwork and get your shares back.

While reading what I wrote, use the most friendliest and relaxing voice in your head.

So much negativity. I think the quite a bit of the butthurt in this thread should be directed at the respective governments that make it such a costly pain in the ass to create a verified document.

Gettting a the affidavit notarized here went something like this:

[10:00] <me> *Walks into bank lobby*
[10:01] <attractive_bank_lady> How can we help you today?
[10:01] <me> I need to get a document notarized
[10:01] <attractive_bank_lady> Oh, I can help you with that. Let's go have a seat at my desk
[10:01] <attractive_bank_lady> And you are a customer here?
[10:02] <me> Yes
[10:02] <attractive_bank_lady> *retrieves items from inside of desk and begins to fill out a log*
[10:04] <attractive_bank_lady> Go ahead and sign your document, and i need o see your drivers license
[10:04] <me> *slides license across desk and signs document*
[10:04] <attractive_bank_lady> *looks at licence and document*
[10:04] <attractive_bank_lady> can you sign the log book here?
[10:04] <me> *signs log book*
[10:04] <attractive_bank_lady> *signs document and puts her stamp on it*
[10:04] <attractive_bank_lady> Any thing else we can do for you today?
[10:04] <me> I believe that is all I needed, thanks
[10:04] <attractive_bank_lady> Thank you
[10:04] <attractive_bank_lady> have a good day
[10:05] <me> *walks out of bank*

Even if I found a random notary on the street, that most they can legally charge me to notarize a document in my state is $2. This process is to protect him and us from fraud, which given the circumstances of GLBSE shutdown is not an unreasonably worry. This process is not an unreasonable request.

Complain about overreaching government. The regulations the closed GLBSE and the hoops and fees you have to jump through to get you governments approval of a document are the root issues here. Jumping to accusations and personal insults while mentioning his (beautiful) wife are more than unwarranted at this point.

To imply that this process is mean to discourage claims is ridiculous. Participating in the process helps you and him, it doesn't stick it to him.

Grow up.

Pretty sure the butthurt should be directed at GLBSE.

Indeed. Nefario does deserve a good portion of it.

The trolls can blame whomever they like. I am here to move forward and to keep moving forward in confidence. That is what the claims process is all about.

As for those who are waiting on claims to be processed, I have not received this weeks claims from Quentin and continue to try and get in touch with him.
