If you know of a way to create legally binding documents across international borders that prove who you are and is not what the claims process is, I would like to hear your plan.

I've now had my claim accepted & was very promptly paid the back interest from Gigamining, I've now invested that plus enough more to upgrade all my shares to Teramining so will be watching the shipping forecast from BFL with much interest now, anyway I'm glad to be supporting bitcoin mining & the network going forward in to the ASIC age & thank Giga for getting this all sorted out.

On the 9th of Feb, 16 days ago, I sent to Quintin & James my apostilled affidavit claim plus a apostille of my passport (as an extra - in all it ended up costing me well over $150) & asked for it's receipt to be acknowledged to me so that I could know it was being processed because I have never once had one single reply from Quintin as yet to any of my emails & questions, when this didn't happen I wrote to James a few times to chase this up & he has been very prompt at replying & agreed to include me in the early ASIC mining group as I have my claim pending since before that was announced & have stated my desire to make the paid upgrade from the beginning, I don't know why James can't just process this himself but anyway I really hope that it may finally get to be done this Tuesday, the 26th, so it can be wrapped up before BFL hopefully start shipping ASICs in early March.

I will be getting in touch with Quentin this morning to review what happened with the check on Friday. I emailed you directly on Feb 8, 2013 and you told me you would look into it... on Feb 12 I asked again and was told I am on the list to be reviewed by Quentin.....on Feb 18th I was told to wait until the 19th as Quentin processes on Tuesdays, 19th comes and goes still nothing, 20th you said " I was not able to get a hold of him yesterday so that is the priority this morning." on the 23rd it had been a month since Quentin had my claim in hand... What gives ... Otoh goes 2 weeks and boom scan your doc and I will review ... WTF you could have done this all along why the lawyer why make us go through him if you can process them yourself.. sure keep him as legal counsel, but now you have opened a flood gate... I know you have alot on you plate with this but I am jumping through your hoops and feel like I am getting the short end of the stick here. Naelr |

Just a warning to others, make sure you read the fine print on the contract, I didn't. As a result, I converted to Teramining on the 9th of Feb and subsequently forfeited my dividend payments on 11th, 18th, 25th, and tomorrow's as well. That comes to over 50 Bitcoins (I owned a lot of shares) in dividends down the drain. The longer BFL takes to deliver the hardware, the more this mistake will cost me.

Always good advice. Though, to be fair to Giga, the print on the contract that covers this was the same size as the rest of the contract and it was one of 5 or 6 bullet points summarizing the contract... maybe the first one. Edit: Yes, the first one. The important parts from the contract are:
You are agreeing to return all rights, benefits, future payments, output and services due under the xx Gigamining Contracts.
You are agreeing to pay x.xxxxxx BTC to VPS within 5 days to be inlcuded in the Teramining Contract.
This payment is non-refundable.
You'll be given payment instructions in the next step of this process.
You will receive xxx PCUs at 9 million hashes per second each.
VPS makes no representation of the expected output of the PCUs. This means payments will trend over and under the expected output depending on downtime, luck, etc. |

Hi dishwara, Otoh has been paid all back payments owed. Naelr is still in the process and should be taken care of as soon as he gets me some documentation. Have things gone perfectly with the claims process? NO. Have there been delays in paperwork being processed? YES. Getting mad and screaming through your keyboard isn't going to change anything. I have laid out a clear path for Gigaminers to claim and continue with Gigamining/Teramining. Plently of people have claimed and have been paid so it is now impossible to make statements that I am not paying out claims as they come in. This can also be proven with block chain transactions should the need arise. Please follow the claims process and you will be paid. Best, James |
