It's good because Bitmain are a reputable manufacturer and have actual hardware.

Profitable, well I'd say no but others may disagree

But I seen on a cloudmining rating site that with the S5 hashnest has a 153 day roi. So where is that 277 coming from? And do you guys know of any other cloudmining site with a roi under like 100 days or so?

The 277 is just maths, I suspect the site you saw it on was using an old cost, difficulty or BTC/USD Rate.

There's a catch, though. After The 277 days you can sell your position and get back your principal.

This means a return of 100% in 277 days. Not only a breakeven.

Also, this doesn't take into account accelerated returns if you reinvest everyday.

This is getting more into mining speculation but...

That presupposes several things.

1. That difficulty stays constant, if it rises that timescale increases
2. That the contract is still active, remember a fall in BTC price or an increase in difficulty could mean that it's cancelled before the term is up.
3. That the contract is worth what you paid for it in 9 months time which is highly doubtful.

Everyone has different opinions which is why hashnest has sold tons of mining hashrate, for me personally the reward is too low for the risk.

I like Hashnest for day trading and ignore ROI, focusing on daily yield and price trends. Nowhere else can you find the range of mining contracts offered for trading. Right now UMISOO price is down (buying opportunity!) but as bitcoin price slowly rises (my bet) daily profits from trading UMISOO will be very nice.

Looking at the internal Hashnest charts today I will be trading S4 tomorrow: price is in a clear uptrend and daily mining profits are higher than UMISOO. As bitcoin price increases action will move back to UMISOO.

For those who like to speculate buying UMISOO right now can reward you with excellent profits as bitcoin price rises, if you think the bottom is in for the time being.

I agree day trading or at least buying and selling on highs and lows every few days is the only solid way to make money on hashnest. I made a few bitcoin doing it just have to be smart and get a little luck.

yup, daytrading is where its at, the mining is just an added bonus.  eventually hashnest will focus more on the day trading aspect, the money will be to great to pass up as it will bring in bigger players. they will be indirectly force into it, cause if they wont  do it someone else will

Hmm wonder if I should purchase a couple...or perhaps buy 2.2 TH/s of S5 hashpower on the market.

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator

Here you go, go play around with the numbers and form your own ROI period before investing.  No one on here will be able to give you exact numbers, so doing your own analysis is the best.

There will be no S6. The next model will be S7.
Personally, I think it ll be around before NY. Again, don't base your investment decisions on this, this is just my best guess.

I've read it somewhere that new equipments will be available after September 30. I couldn't find that message again but it was in this forums mining section.
Now you're telling us that they will be around before new year. I don't know what to believe.
I hope it won't be extended and we can see new machines in the market in October.
