I noticed something alarming lately:

Round time | Payout
3:32:49 0.0127
0:36:04 0.0099
1:30:47 0.0143
0:43:09 0.0095
1:51:22 0.0109

At a fairly constant hash rate...

Anyone else having this too? If yes, we're getting hopped. Big time!

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

The rounds you're looking at were during the most unstable times for the server, and during times where I was running test code for the pool split, which disconnected miners/caused massive idles.  There were multiple dips of the pool to 0-400 GH/sec during those rounds.

Though its been fine for me so far?

Ok, thanks for clarification.
My miner mines in 2 pools at the same time (soon to become 3, for even more reduced variance...) so idling is no issue at all fortunately! Smiley

Still I'd love to see automated payouts and score based shares... maybe you could be setting 0% donators on score based and donators after a certain treshhold can opt to switch on proportional? So you could even win on pool hoppers!

Auto payouts have been sitting as the next "To Do" item for a while.  Unfortunately, the pool's stability forced all of the website interface/feature design completely ignored.  With the EU server coming online tonight, I hope to get back to adding features/optimizing the website this weekend.

hmm.. has the calculation time needed for solving a block doubled since splitting the Server, or do both servers count as one single in terms of Blockgeneration?
So the Question is: Are we mining with 2times 350GHash or 1 time with 700 GHash?

If you like my advise, i would be thankful getting a small donation at:

The reward is divided as if it was one server. That's the only point that matters. It's the same difference.

I dont know if its due to bad luck or what, but in the last 24 hours, I have only earned about .6 BTC when I usually earn anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5...at the price of a BTC today, thats alot of money Sad

yes mee too.

with 750 Ghash / sec, the pool should get at average 26 blocks per day. Today we have 8. So 18 more to go until midnight. Lets just hope that were getting double the price tomorrow

The last four blocks each took > 1 million shares to find. The current block is over 1 million shares now. So, 5 blocks in a row > 1 million shares since the new server was introduced. Hopefully this is just a coincidence.

US East had a few hits of stales, needed to restart MySQL and pushpool to update some connection handling settings.

I am still getting 50% stale, but only on one of my machines...

Maybe I need to dart home and just restart it...

Me too, but I suspect that it is because my linux box is on US East, and my windows is on US West.

Fixed the huge invalid/stale issue.  One of the updates about 15 minutes ago involved uncommenting some code I had been testing on the EU server.  Included in this was a piece of the difficulty 2 share code I had been working on, so diff 1 shares were being rejected for not matching difficulty=2 for a few minutes.

Yup, my stales have not gone up in a while.

Thanks for the fix!
