Why do people hate islam?

People know nothing about the religion, their easily drawn to the media and get influenced, they carry on telling their peers and the word spreads and spreads. Islam isn't a religion of hatred, its a religion of peace.

Well when you look at the past history  of muslims and present... I've never heard that a christian, a buddhist, jew,etc.. went into suicide bombing, forming terrorist groups on every corner, hanging gays and stoning women for being raped (in the present time),...

Islam may be the religion of peace (every religion says that) but I guess it's not showing that side instead of the violent one.

It not only destroys them. It gives them the false values and goals in life. They believe that Islam / religion need to fight.

The same can be said about most of the modern religions, such as Judaism and Christianity. The ultimate aim of these religions is the same. They want to increase the number of adherents, and once that aim is achieved, they will seize power.

However if you take a broad look at this, it seems that once "JudeoChristian" "seizes power" the result is a tolerant society.

On the other hand, once "Islam seizes power" a totalitarian darkness spreads over that land.

For example, when I compare countries where the church is actively interfering with the government policies (such as South Korea and Philippines) with those which are under the Shariah rule (such as Saudi Arabia and Qatar), it is clear that the former bunch is more tolerant.

Why bear hate with some thing when there is a lot of things that should be done. That hate will just eat you up whenever you knew someone is in that religion and you will bear it until the day you die. People are stressing everything to the extent that it will almost kill them at the end. Why not just let them be or do the other thing which is LOVE.

People don't actually hate Islam but the people who are practicing it and killing innocents souls in the name of pleasing their religion. I tell you if people practicing other religions go that route then we begin to hate the religion so that tells you that it is not about the religion itself but about the people practicing it and that's just what matters. Not all Muslims can kill and not all Christians are saints.

You're right, media here shows gipsies as poor, peaceful, loving people... Well little do they know that the worst street in my town is the gipsy street where they pull guns and knives on eachother, yell at people that pass by, sell stolen stuff,etc... so yah, you shouldnt trust the media blindly but It's not that surprising to hate on muslims like that since all you see are muslims blowing themselves up and doing stupid siht. Also, take a look at Saudi arabia...

Terrorism does indeed "bother me." But I'm educated enough to know that most Muslims aren't terrorists. However, while you take a slightly more liberal approach, we all know that Quran does in fact tell Muslims to kill infidels. And obviously some radicals take that appraoch very seriously.

Many religions came into the world as the heirs of pagan traditions. Look at the rites of Christians. There's a lot of pagan rituals. Omens, too, the roots go from there. I think everything is easier. This is how a bankrupt company sells its customer base to heirs.

Imagine some one going to bomb innocent souls and thing because of that, you go to heaven, or you are fighting for God. That is the problem. The medieval mindset is still there. Christianity was similar. But that religion changed with time. The barbaric practices such as inquisition and burning of witches were abandoned. But Islam still clings on to all these stone age customs.

That is the problem. The medieval mindset is still there. Christianity was similar. But that religion changed with time. The barbaric practices such as inquisition and burning of witches were abandoned. But Islam still clings on to all these stone age customs.

Odd how few people will admit these simple truths.

Bitter Muslims cling to their dusty old religion book, their blades and their burkas.
