I'm quite happy with my new home. I hope my 29TH can finally crack my first block !

Keep calm and mine on !  Cool
Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Great day for blocks. $$$$

I told myself F*** it and ordered first S7.
The 3 S3's were good to learn from but now time to step it up some.

ckpool restart coming up in 33mins from now, when the minute hand next hits 30

ckpool restarts are of course immediate
There will be a few failovers, but most will be ok.
Last restart, only about 1% of miners failed over, this time should be the same.

Changes are to do with remote nodes and distributing our blocks out to the network even faster Smiley
Our zero orphans, for almost 11 months (none for 322 blocks), are a sign of how well that is working.
Lets hope that continues Smiley Of course sooner or later we'll get another orphan, but these changes help reduce the chances of that happening.
Restart went all smoothly for everyone except the nonce proxy for the Tubes.
That took it's own 2nd restart before it was working OK.
No one failed over on the nonce proxy, but you will have had a few reconnects after the first restart until the 2nd one.

It was less than 1% of users failing over and back again, so in all restart went well.

And you will earn less and less... it's a pity for nice old miners, but there are also million $ cars rusting some place....

No problems at all with the main pool since the restart ... and no problems on JP coz no one is mining there Smiley

However,
Ended up being another restart for each of the DE and SG nodes about 20 minutes after the restart.
The restart will have caused failover for some of the DE and SG miners but others would have just seen a lot of reconnects.
The block we just got also forced the need for another node restart.
Working on sorting them out now - but they are mining ok.

DE and SG nodes have had a few restarts since the main pool restart.
Nodes are stable again but we'll do restarts of everything again tomorrow (in about 8-9 hours) to finish off the node updates.

--

I've changed the coinbase addresses, since we've passed 500 blocks now.
The Payments page includes another link, on the end, for the new address.

BLOCK !!!

Block party starting.... we never had a 10-block Friday before... game on!

Block Friday is well under way...I just realized that block 396803 was hit by xgeniy who is a 4.4THs miner!  Well done!  For all of us medium and smaller Kano-ites, don't think it can't be done!

It's possible to hit a block mining with just your computer... it's just extremely unlikely to do so Wink

Jonny's Pool - Mine with us and help us grow!  Support a pool that supports Bitcoin, not a hardware manufacturer's pockets!  No SPV cheats.  No empty blocks.
