Is your AUC controller red or green. if it's red then something not connecting
it should go from blue to green but sometimes flashes red then green.
On dashboard did it show the temp?

The LED on the A6 is flashing green. You can see from the pic that nothing is coming through. The pool assignments are OK, but that's it.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

The LED on the A6 should be solid blue, the AUC, between the A6 & RPi should be solid green.
If the led on the A6 is flashing green it hasn't completed it's start up.

Man...the amount of angst $2 bad hardware can cause...the mini usb patch between the A6 AUC adapter and the RPi was bad on the signal side. I swapped it for the better quality cable I'd been using for the power input...and so...

I said...I say-ed...

That is terrific Firetree!

The amount of expertise here on kano amazes me.

I'll be in line with everyone else to try out the new Avalons.  Hopefully soon.

Mahalo (thanks)! Lots of mana'o (loosely translated, expertise) here for sure, and several folks PM'd with some pretty helpful info. I had to wade through all the obvious, and even more obtuse, stuff to eliminate all but the real cause. I think that's always been my least favorite troubleshoot...when it turns out to be a 50-cent fuse on a circuit that isn't supposed to be used...that sort of thing.

Yup, once I get the second A6 online here at home, I think it'll be time (and enough BTC in the wallet) to pick up the next-gen Avalon box, which according to all the chatter is trying to launch in Sept. All I know is what I see on the board. We've got some good years of mining left given the level of hw production I know they can do.

Mine on...  Kiss

Indeed. Just woke up. It's still running. This is a good thing.  Cool

Jon at Canaan was pretty cool, though. It was actually a cable they sent me with the RPi that was bad; that's why I wasn't considering that piece for so long. It all came out OK, and I'm liking what I see with the A6. The build quality is significantly better. I'd rather run an A6 than an S7 at this point. Hope we get a nice surprise in Sept.

me three

Yah I have room for two or three of them. I also have  the nice dps 2500 psu so I am set to mine them.

If they are two board 1000 watt miners I would love for each board to have three jacks. To make load on the pcie cables at 167 watts vs 250 watts

Hey guys and gals. I wrote a python script that interacts with the Kano API and sends a pushover notification to my mobile device if my hashrate falls below X. Not sure if it would benefit anyone here.

Here's my code:

https://github.com/wobbzz/kanocheck/blob/master/checkhashrate.py

One limitation is that it uses the same hashrate check for every miner, but this could be easily changed by manually defining your workers in a dictionary.

Hi All! Noob here. I just bough some equipment and have had it running for just a couple of days. I have been able to find answers to most of my questions looking at this thread and on the website. I did read the payout section but it is unclear to me when the payout is sent after a block reaches the matured state?

I am using the method with no username just using my BTC wallet. Sorry for the super noob question!

Assuming you read this:  https://kano.is/index.php?k=payout

After a block has matured (reached 101 confirmations) it is queued for payout and sent out upon the next block the pool finds. Kano does sleep and sometimes it takes a bit longer if the blocks come fast and furious.
