The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Just that no unit forgets what we are looking for  Wink

nice rack ! maybe i should put a poster up too heh !!!

GO GO GO moar blox Wink

u got pm.

i need to take an updated pic but heres basically what i have on the pool

the s2's/s3's are gone and replaced with some s7 and sp31's , wish i could afford to replace everything with the equivalent power draw in s9's but that wont happen for a while , for now im going to keep picking up cheap s7's and a new s9 every now and then

powers cheap enough i could plug back in all the s3's, monarchs  and the 3 other sp20's that arent in the picture, i just may but i really need to redo the shelving and wiring first

I've been mining on kano.is for so long that I've forgot want is "out there" for mining pools....

I like mining on Kano.is, but with the current difficulty, the halving and with my electric rate in Wisconsin, I now have to mine in 12 hr shifts to take advantage of a time of use electricity price break to remain profitable. Even so, I'm only making a whole whopping $1.50 a day ( that's what a calculator says ) running all S7's.

Mining on kano.is is awesome if you are mining 24/7 , but I don't think its too good at all if mining on a part time schedule.

As a kano fan, I hate to ask this but its either find a different pool, something that has a better payment play that more friendly to part time miners, or I'll have to shut down bitcoin mining altogether because it just plain out does not have any advantages / profit. In winter, mining heats the house so that works out nice, Mining heats the house and pays me.... but summer is here, it makes the AC run harder or I'm running multiple fans gobbling up energy that way.... all for a whopping $1.50 a day (in theory / calculated)

So I must ask .... where do the part time miners mine? I could use a suggestion where to point my miners now.

Thanks

Part time makes no difference to your expected reward ... except of course if you mine half the time you of course will get half the reward mining full time.

Edit: and to the person who's posts I deleted, no, mining anywhere else for BTC will not get you more.
No one pays you for "not mining"

... and mining altcoins is a scam so I don't let people post to help scam others here.

For the repeated questions: You're asking how can you make mining be profitable with high electricity costs when you can't use the generated heat? The answer: You can't.
If you want to discuss strategies to try and make money from an otherwise guaranteed loss situation, that discussion belongs elsewhere.
